I had the pleasure to meet him in person at the Santa Monica Public Library in 2013. He was on his autobiography book tour. There was only 40 people attendance a real intimate setting. That 1 hour he shared with us his growing up in Canada...Diana...as a young boy. How he spent several summers in Los Angeles at his uncle's house. Frank Sinatra...the Mob in Las Vegas, who payed him. He took questions and answered all of them. Then pictures with him, my 13 year old daughter and me. Took the time to talk with my daughter. Paul was so gracious. An evening we'll never forget.

This was the l song that introduced me to the music of the 1940’s-1960’s. It was summer 2020. While hanging out with friends, this song played. I originally shrugged it off, but a couple days later when I was looking for music to do my chores to, I came across "Put Your Head On My Shoulder" again and decided to play it. It then took me to a 1940's-1960's playlist which I listened to and I've been hooked ever since! As the years went by, I started to become interested in the fashion and hairstyles of these decades and afterwards, the films and T.V shows. I'm now 17 and am OBSESSED with (mostly) the 1950's. I own a record player with 40+ vinyls of artists from those decades and I feel I've found my true, authentic self all thanks to this one song by Paul Anka. 🥰🥰🥰
