Very good explanation. Do you reckon it would also be okay to connect Solar PV to Source A and Grid supply to Source B so that it can power certain appliances (like geyser) using solar during the day and Grid during the night?

I have exactly this setup in your video. Can someone tell me, in case the ATS fails and connects both sources to each other, will the MCB activate and prevent any damage to the sources ? When source A is back online, the source B also has power. I have read cases when everything was on fire because the ATS failed and connected sources between themselves.

MCB Rating will depend on the total load which is about to Connected on it

Bt for the easy way you should connect the MCB, CDBK rating of C 63, D80 and above for better wiring and the appliances
