She told Ellen about her new baby with Ashton Kutcher. Ellen had a lot of questions about their relationship status.

i respect the fact that she realizes the incredibly privileged situation she is in, having the ability to hire help instead of just soloing it on her own while her partner works 17 hour days for a tv show. especially when celebs most often opt to hiring help so they can either go to work, whether necessary or not or to simply have time to get hair and makeup done for whatever they need to do for that day. im happy that she knows she has the ability to bond with her baby on their own and she chooses that very maternal route for her and her child. she's always been very down to earth and relatable and i think she'll continue to be a great mom.

Laura Ryan I think it's because so many celebrities get nanny's and staff to help as soon as their baby is born. Some celebrity moms are never seen with their kids or use them for publicity.It's so refreshing to see that Mila and Ashton want to raise their daughter on their own. They just seem like a normal couple and so down to earth, unlike most celebrities.

I think that united state has wierd rules when it comes to parents and babies..Here in sweden all parents has the legal rights to be home when a baby i born..The mom and the father gets togheter 480 days to split to be home with the child.if the mom wants to be home for 420 days if the father agree and gives his days to mom it avalible. But 60 days are locked on the father and he cant give them away. Just saying! Learn after us united state!

Unless you are one of the few fortunate that are economically stable , the mother can be a stay at home mom , but the dad has No days off 😓
@rassberry1013 жыл бұрын
Similar in Canada. The Government pays the parent for up to 18 months when they apply for parental leave and its legally binding for your company to hold your position or similar once you come back from leave. The parental leave can apply to either parent (typically the mom). Of course you need to have completed at least 600 hours of insured work (EI).

I see in the comments some are mad Ellen is praising them for not having a nanny because it's "the norm to stay at home with your kids", and some people are defending Ellen because they realize the work that goes into a celebrity life and a working parents life. I do think we're forgetting that the "norm" is whatever people do with their kids, raising them personally or not. But just because they're rich doesn't mean "oh sure they have money to stay at home and do nothing or just watch a baby". Rich could mean you keep working to maintain your social, and economic status. I've never read of or saw an example of a wealthy nannyless or maidless family no matter how rich, so I don't think it is simply wealth. I think of "publish or perish" or in this case, act or perish, relevance for these people is important. Also, some of us forget that the "norm" for a good portion of us in the United States was being put into a daycare about 5-6hrs a day on average while our parents worked. I don't look down or up to anyone for having a nanny help out, especially if they were wealthy, and first time parents. It's been done for quite a long time. But I do admire them for the reason they don't have a nanny yet. They want to tough it out and get to know their kid really well.

pewpewpew It's because they think it's disgraceful to have a child without being married. They feel you didn't plan the baby it just kind of happened and that is irresponsible. And then the child will be raised with parents that do not have that commitment to each other. The guy can just leave. That is what people like that think and not me I am just explaining it. They think that a woman that would get pregnant and the guy doesn't want to marry her after she picked the wrong guy to have a child with their is something wrong with his character.
