I also keep someone company as my job. Around Christmas time, I make sure to help give out presents to people in my home town who can't afford them. I'd do more if I made more money, but as it is, I only do my small part to help other people. That is IF she's telling the truth. There are always two sides to a story, I'm not saying she's lying, BUT, I've heard COUNTLESS single mom sob stories about how the ex did this and the ex did that and the ex "used to beat me and abuse me" and the ex "cheated on me all the time", etc., etc., and then I come to find out later on in many cases that not only was none of it true but it was really the woman that did the cheating and abusing and the man who was actually the victim.

I agree and she even says she found out she was pregnant 6 months later. Well, most women are pretty big at six months, so it doesn't make sense that she was 6 month's pregnant. So either she carried on sleeping with the guy or this is someone else's kid. It's possible she was 6 months pregnant before she realised but very unlikely.

I actually think it is better to show others that some people need financial help. Being discreet does not make you cool when you brag about it. I am sure that Ellen is filthy rich, but it is still a good idea to make this kind of advertisement for her show and let other companies sponsor her as much as possible. I believe she is a good person and knows how much she deserves. I recommend to you to film your good deeds and share them with us. Maybe you'll get some recognition too instead of one like for teasing us with such pointless comment.
