27 degrees is a heat wave. When I first moved to AK, I lived in my van camping out for 10 months. The first book I read was 50 yrs below zero. The Brower family, I met when I worked in a man camp at Point Simpson. They came by to eat. we have to feed any natives that want to eat because the oil is on their native lands. The Brower's drove 4 hrs from Barrow on snow machines just to eat. Nice people.

Hey guys, what a cool video. How often are we reminded what a small world we live in. I’ve never been to Barrow, but I did live four years in Anchorage when I was a teenager. Fast-forward many years and many countries, and I am living in a log cabin in Wimberley Texas. Alaska and the little town of Wimberley in Texas are two of my favorite spots. I am now living on the border in Texas and travel back-and-forth to Mexico a lot. It would be great to meet up with you guys sometime. Wimberley is a great place to stay grounded and I hope you hang on to your property there.

I still maintain that I would take freezing or heat any day. If dressed properly you can combat cold whereas heat, you’re just kind of SOL. The arctic is certainly on my bucket list. 10am sunrise sounds great! Except I’m sure living in that for a few weeks and then mentally 10 am feels like 6 am in normal sunrise. 😂😂

We were going to do the drive from Eagle River, AK (near Anchorage) where we live, all the way to Prudoe Bay up near Utqiagvik over 5 days but we just had other adventures and didn't get around to it. You can do it in the Summer too. It's a brutal drive on gravel and dangerous as there are lots of big trucks and no services if you break down! Tks for sharing another great video.
