The Endless Adventure I enjoyed your video, but since you request that viewers make recommendations..... I recommend that you try to research the subjects a little more, and like give a bit more information. But as far as your style of delivery, you're enjoyable and I really like how you don't insult the owners/employees of the food places by saying how gross or whatever, like when you waited until you got outside the shop to mention the fishy taste of the oil. Too many people nowadays are absolutely rude and that's just not fun to watch, I feel really uncomfortable with videos like that. Good job, I hope to see you go to more countries and try more foods! 😍 p.s. I realize that you're in a foreign country, but the internet and Google are still accessible, that's all I meant by researching the subject! Love you guys!

Edinburgh's true traditional dish is a King Rib Supper. Mechanically recovered pork, flavored with msg and Chinese BBQ spice, dipped in batter, fried, served with chips and chip 'sass' and eaten at 3.00am after ten pints of beer in a bus stop in the freezing rain, then you traditionally vomit in the said bus stop before passing out!

Never seen a Scotch pie eaten with a fork, unless you have baked beans on it. Mars bars are quite the tourist thing now so they're really expensive for what is just sticking a chocolate bar in a fryer. They do put whisky in the sauce. Was nice to see you try the local foods, glad you enjoyed them.

Being from Scotland,(Falkirk,which is 20 mins from Edinburgh) I was very impressed by your willingness to embrace some Scottish food although deep fried mars bars in general are kind of a joke food that somehow has become known outside Scotland as something that Scottish people eat regularly but in reality its almost just tourists who eat it! Your pronunciation of "haggis,neeps & tatties" was excellent and the way you both have real mouthfuls of the food you try,not just teeny weeny bits like most other food trying videos do,is very impressive! Also you seemed to really try to understand and enjoy the atmosphere in the different places you went to! I really enjoyed your video,keep up the good work!

I noticed that too. It also had very little batter on it but at least it was cooked properly. Some of the ones in these sorts of videos look too dry, the middle should be melted to get the full flavour and eaten while still hot.

You're right, it's smack bang in the middle of the tourist hub, where you pay for £200 kilts and £8 for 100g Scottish Tablet (basically crumbly fudge) Much of Edinburgh is comparable in price to London maybe only a little less.
@Catubrannos
@Catubrannos 7 жыл бұрын
Kilts are expensive. £200 is not expensive for a kilt. There are only a handful of mills that weave proper tartan fabric which is where most of the cost comes from.

l have been to the birth place of the deep fried Mars bar..it originated in a little coastal town just south of Aberdeen..the town is called Stonehaven..there is a fish n chip shop there and the proprietor claimed he would deep fry anything, so one day some lads went in with a Mars Bar and asked him if he would deep fry it..he did and thus this dessert was born/created..

If you come back come to Aberdeen. Foods to try are Rowies (only found in Aberdeen) for breakfast. Have them toasted with butter, jam or honey on. For lunch have Stovies with oatcakes and for supper go to a fish n chip shop - you'll be spoiled for choice (Mock Chops, Red Puddings and White Puddings are my favourites)

OH Also about the haggis, it's delicious and a lot of people don't even bother trying it. Most common haggis (especially store bought) is actually made with pig lungs (only 1% heart but like 33% lung) and oats and loads of spices and let me tell you, load that onto a roll and flood it with brown sauce and finish with a bottle of irn bru and you've got your breakfast sorted haha xD If you ever come back to scotland make sure to look up Tattie Scones

We've been to the UK 3 times and all over Scotland, tho' not far north yet (the Orkneys is on our list) Edinburgh is still our favorite city. I love haggis, here in the USA you can't make it with pluck, the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) does not recognize lung as a food, so it's actually illegal. People here react like I'm saying I'm eating dog sh*t or something. Or they say, "Ooo, isn't that, like, cooked in a sheep's stomach?!" I want to ask, "Do you like sausages? Yeah? Do you know what sausage casing is? No? Then don't ask!" Bunch o' pillocks.
@TheMimiSard
@TheMimiSard 7 жыл бұрын
One thing I have heard about haggis is that it is actually far more predictable than a lot of sausages, which can be filled with a lot of questionable meats, while haggis has it's ingredients strictly dictated.

I know this is an old comment but I figured you’d maybe still get it-I’m so surprised you hadn’t heard of deep fried mars bars!!! When I was young (about the mid 90’s) and living in a remote part of Scotland close to Aberdeen we would have one on a Saturday afternoon after getting back from our part time job-they are soooooo nice, but now I’m 35 there’s no chance I could burn off the calories like I did back then hahaha I hope you tried it!

Haggis or a nice Scotch pie will set you up for the day, you can go for hours without wanting to eat anything else. In the UK a lot of us have a laugh at President Trump's diet: Big Macs, Filet o Fish, KFC, all washed down with chocolate milk shake. How is he even still alive when that is all he eats? I eagerly await a news bulletin which reports Trump in hospital, in intensive care, and incapable of dashing out a constant stream of illiterate and ill-informed prejudices on Twitter.

Sounds a wee bit gross but you often got a few chips stuck to the melted cheese! It's often said it rains in Scotland but you won't care after having a deep fried pizza as the rain just runs off you as the pizza has made you 100% waterproof!
