Overnight RV Camping… in an IHOP Parking Lot??… IN WINTER??

When I was homeless I had spent a couple nights at a local WMart parking lot. My 1st night homeless living in my Chevy HHR, I parked at the farthest area, layed down to rest around 9pm, at 11pm a bunch of high schoolers parked and partied tell the late hours. Found out it’s much more peaceful at the hospital parking lot.

Great video guys! Here’s a tip, we use an old bath towel at the entrance of our class C floor. It give you more room to kick off dirty shoes. We keep it folded and shake it out, fold it again to get a clean side then we either wash it in a bucket or chuck it out when it get crappy!

As a total seafood nut here is my best tip for the lemon. Hold your knife vertical, tip down, fold the wedge around your knife and squeeze. the juice runs right down the blade and you can direct it exactly where you want it.

Cute video and a bonus for IHOP!When my mom had chemotherapy, my parents went to an IHOP very frequently because of the pancakes and breakfast. I’ll keep I hop in mind when I travel in my van and need an overnight. They do tend to vary in their quality based on whose managing the restaurant. I bet you’re headed to Leavenworth! Fun video! I lived in the Seattle area for over 50 years. I do not miss the snow!

Hey Guys! I live about 30 miles north of Seattle. I have a small 2000 class C and a sidekick, aka "stitch". Sometimes the windshield wiper issue is just a disconnected hose. If you haven't checked yet, that might be an easy fix. Replace or cut and sometimes as easy as reattached. Next time you are in Washington you should definitely check out Leavenworth.

Turn signal more then likely a bulb. Autozone, Orielly’s and many other parts places should have them. First place I would start. If both all were out maybe a fuse or turn signal switch. Located usually under the dash near steering column. Little silver looking can hanging under dash. Stay safe

Go to Autozone and get some Rainex. Make sure it’s the water repellent. Not the glass cleaner. Spray that stuff on your windshield and you won’t even need your windshield wipers. I used to have a ‘66 F100 with wipers that only worked when they wanted to but with that stuff I didn’t need them.

I drove a motorhome like yours from Banks Lake to Tacoma back in about 2005. It made me nervous in the Summer driving and I wasn't even towing. Loving your post and glad you are safe! The steak actually looks decent.

That is a huge college town! IHOP is one of the only hang outs for the younger students who can’t drink and first place they go when the bars close. That’s why they stay open 24 hours on the weekends! Central Washington University is there.

I can fix your windshield sprayer. Simply go to home depo and buy windshield fluid and 1 big spray bottles. VIP only put clean water in spray bottle but mix it if the water freezes too much. LASTLY: Use from passenger side on jet spray as the wipers run slowly.

If it was a Friday night and they were high school kids they must of had a game and like most schools they have a place they all meet up at afterwards. Clementine looks like she ran well for you and hopefully it's not expensive to have your directional fixed! I live in western Wa. and travel Snoqualmie often I have infact slept at that gas station you washed windows at, during a snow storm LOL. you guys should try White pass it is just BEAUTIFUL at the eastern base there is an elk feeding station, sad you were so close to Snoqualmie falls and didnt see it. check it out sometime. there are also the Ape Caves, and lava cannon in Cougar Wa. this is the back side of mount St Hellens

So I know most Cracker Barrels allow for overnighters in their parking lots. I hadn't thought of IHOP before so that's a great tip! Thank you for that! I hear the Walmart scene is drying up; especially now post-Covid as most Walmarts aren't open 24/7 anymore. So it's a little more sketchy to see vehicles parked overnight. I've stayed at Walmarts before but I think I'm done with that.

Had a friend that used to work at Black Bear Diner and they had their own special pancake / waffle blend that came in giant bags. He may or may not have given me a couple back in the day and I can honestly say they were the best ever. I can imagine IHOP does the same. Ihop pancakes are amazing I agree.

I have a similar van and live in Spokane and have done this drive a lot in different vehicles. My biggest word of advice is that you guys shouldn't do this again. Wait until Spring. People get killed on the pass constantly. I have seen cars full of dead people and have had to just drive past them. I am glad you made it out..... please be safe. I'm from Bellingham and drive over to see my folks... but ahhhh I would never do this in the van... It's so scary. You're optimists I guess.

My car broke down in Ellensburg about 2 years ago, returning from the coast. I spent 6 hours waiting in the repair shop for my car to be repaired... I wish I would have known the IHop was such a hopping place, LOL!

Oh man, I wish I knew you two were gonna be in Ellensburg. My husband is from there, and his parents still own a farm in the area. We could have had you stay there. Alas. Maybe next time! Also, if you have a chance, stop at the Ellensburg Canyon Winery. It's has delicious white wines and has a beautiful view to enjoy while enjoying your beverage. Lastly, have fun in (L-censored). I know exactly what town you plan on stopping at. Enjoy all the wineries there! We adore cascade cliffs (if you can find them). More expensive wine, but sooo good.
