this is literally exactly what i needed, i woke up this morning like "man i can't play this game yet but i wanna write, i need some descriptions of thanalan but i don't even know where anything IS, i wonder if there's 'exploring thanalan' videos" and this is even better than what i wanted! having all the lore in once place i can refresh myself on will be useful even once i finally get my hands on this game

I would absolutely LOVE to see more of these types of videos, my favorite out of everything I've seen you do!

Your guys' videos are great. I really appreciate all the passion that clearly goes into them.

I do wish there were more videos in this series. I love looking at the maps and trying to figure out what secrets they hide.

It rains so much in Camp Drybone that I don't understand how it's still desert.

This channel is a goldmine! Love the content, always wondered about the geography and why eorzea looks how it does. The detail in this was incredible, where do you source it all? I'm looking forward to diving back in with all this extra context for the zones. ARR was very lore rich

Glad you enjoyed them and found them helpful! As for sources, going to try to go back and cite them for old videos at some point but it’s a combination of In game text, official forums and Encyclopedia Eorzea Vol 1 and 2.

ARE YOU TELLING ME THOSE DOORS ARE TINY ON PURPOSE? I thought it was ARR using perspective tricks since no one could fly back then
@TheEorzeanArchives2 жыл бұрын
That’s probably why, actually almost certainly but since we tend to come from an in game lore perspective and we can now get close to them we had to find a way to rationalize it XD

Lol the lighthouse has doors that only lalafells can use XD It does seem an odd choice that they put the scions original base a long walk from the Horizon aetheryte. It's definitely easier to go there now that we can fly but I think the rework they did of the arr msq gives new players tickets to auto teleport them to the waking sands. so at least they have that now... unlike back in my day ;P *old man grumblings*

I didn't realize I had those tickets until after everybody relocated to Revenant's Toll... At least I still got some use going into Storm Blood.

This is good stuff! I hate to be that pedantic person but I think the "lea" in "hammerlea" is pronounced like "lee". lea as in a pasture
@TheEorzeanArchives2 жыл бұрын
According to Merriam-Webster both are acceptable.
