Before I even saw the video I just KNEW that episode 120 would be on here ! Out of ALL the episodes I’ve probably seen that one the most ! (So I’ll have a lot to say about it) I’m so happy that you guys think that it’s worthy as one of the best bc it is definitely extremely deserving of being in the top 10 or even top 5 imo As a HUGE Future Trunks fan I’ve seen that episode at least 4-5 times by now and am STILL blown away by how darn good it looks ! The intense shading on the characters makes them look more 3D ,the special effects on the Death Ball look absolutely incredible especially for 1991-1992 , plus everything else you mentioned about it makes it stand out as one of the Best of All Time DBZ episodes Not only by how it LOOKS though but I’d say it’s also one of the best episodes of the entire series as it is TRULY a masterpiece of an episode from start to finish! It’s got the perfect introduction of an extremely popular fan favorite character ,has one of the most iconic fights in the series , and not to mention it has the best DBZ OST track Battle Power Unlimited Anyway my Top Pick would definitely be the Goku vs Cell fight (Episode 179) followed by the Goku vs Majin Vegeta fight (Episode 231) then Goku vs Kid Buu (Episode 279) and lastly Future Trunks vs Mecha Frieza (Episode 120) in last but not least !

Mines includes a lot of filler and moments -Gohan, piccolo and Goku training ✊🏼 -Goku vs Gohan Training (which one - all of em) -The slice of life situations where SSJ Goku and Gohan was hanging out. -Super Vegeta transformation - The whole episode of Cell becoming perfect 😮‍💨 - that episode where Gohan killed the cell jrs - the power up of SSJ Gohan during the tournament before he got his energy took. - that episode where Buu is released and he blasts Gohan ✊🏼

the backdrops and skies are one of my favorite things about dragonball z and gt. when i see sunsets in real life and the sky is pink and yellow or purple i think of goku and vegeta's 1st fight, and the planet of the kais. some even remind me of the gt opening. even when the skies are cloudy i think of the super 17 arc. lol

The fact that Dragon Ball Z was made back in the 90s is still mind blowing! The fact that these animators could do what ever there capable of animating face paced kung fu movements! Anime is the most mind blowing mediums than anything from western animation!

Episode 103 discussions bring me some memory, back when we couldn't come up with the mysterious uncredited animator who popped up in the end with Miyahara and Nakatsuru. Hideko Okimoto happens to be THE name. In that very episode, the regular Seigasha gang wasn't alone. BTW, back then Yoshihiro Ueda was such an important director and storyboard artist, he really liked to add different hues of color and to give separate framings to punches and kicks, too. Masaki Sato deserved to supervise more Studio Junio entries, given Maeda losing his freshness in the Freeza arc during the round-angular style shift progress. He's such a great guy.

Dragonball Z was pretty much the last thing we watched together before she died.
