One aspect of Coach Prime's decision to stay could be the health care he receives for his foot and leg. CU's medical facilities and doctors are some of the best in the nation and they will take care of Coach. I think he knows that.

Jackson State paid Prime 150,000. They were to bonus Prime if the attendance reached specific numbers. Those attendance numbers were reached several times and they did not pay Coach Prime. Colorado made the offer. The bro who did not pay Prime got fired. ....brah ?

And like I said, “upper decks” are definitely a non-starter. No-one is going to jeopardize that view.

@@TJ-Stackin And keep in mind that it may not make a ton of sense to do that. Remember, CU has only sold out their season tickets like 10 times in over 100 years. This isn’t Nebraska; there are a million other things to do on a Saturday in Colorado than go watch a college football game, especially when they’re not winning. Add in the fact that the Broncos, the Nuggets, the Avalanche and the Rockies are all just a few minutes away, and you’re competing for limited sports dollars to begin with. Sure, there’s nothing else to do in College Station Pennsylvania, so why not build a huge stadium? But the economics are very, very different for CU-Boulder than they are for 99% of the other P4 stadiums.

The rough thing with CU is we went from Big 12 contenders to a nobody. Then fast forward to 2016, the Rise to #9 in the nation, then we slipped. Hired Midnight Mel got back to national media relevancy then shortly after he left and we went back to being a nobody seeing the darkest days in CU history. Then by some miracle RG landed Coach Prime. We just want a coach who won't leave after 2 years. Give us some hope back to our program. I feel Prime is that guy. What worries me is the media is relentless. They want him to leave Colorado and they'll continue harping on him when he shows he's not perfect. Eventually that kind of negativity is going to wear on a coach unless he can block out the haters, and keep moving forward with his goals.

The implication is that the university would then fire him. That's the way it goes with coaching. And it doesn't make sense that he would give up after two seasons when he's trying to build a solid program. So, none of what you said even makes sense.
