I don’t see the problem with Noah being Noah! At least he is making more people put eyes on the sport, and he is serving as a catalyst for great anticipation of the men’s 100 meter which has not been the case since Bolt retired. Worlds fastest man is to the Olympic champ or world champ. Y’all wanna play favorites, when Marcel Jacob’s won the Olympic title everybody was calling him worlds fastest man which was rightly so. But since Noah Lyle’s is not a crowd favorite it’s a problem. Kishane Thompson has to win the title first and then he call his self the world’s fastest, world lead does not mean nothing if you don’t deliver on championship day. If you do the math most worlds leaders don’t even win the gold. Kishane is a high favorite because of his time, it’s a lot of pressure on him and Noah and they both could possibly be vulnerable to be upset. I don’t think time will play a factor, it will come down to who can produce in the moment when it counts.

Hate him all you want, Noah has done so much to improve the purse for track and field athletes. Sometimes progress requires someone to sacrifice public opinion. This stuff is strategic and deep. It takes fortitude and courage that many people players would never risk. Ego can appear as arrogance but it can also be displayed as selfishness when people put their individual glory over improving the conditions for their team/sport. I guarantee if a deep dive analysis on Noah's antics you'll see a steady incline in visibility, sponsorships, endorsements, engagement for the entire sport

Again, you are one of the few that's actually paying attention. Oblique beat Noah in Jamaica running 9.82, I think Noah ran 9.85. Now after the race Noah said he lost because the gun was fast, so let's take his word and say he would have won and ran 9.81 or 9.80. Now 6 weeks later in London he ran a PR of 9.81 which tell you that if he would have ran 9.81 in Jamaica and then he ran 9.81 on a fast track in London, then that shows that he has not improved and his max is 9.81. Now we know that Oblique would be improving since running 9.82 so Oblique is in a better shape than Noah and we know where Kishane is. He was already capable of 9.6s at trials. A 1,2 for Jamaica is the most likely outcome and with all that said, the semis will be just as interesting as the finals because I think someone may get upset depending on how stacked their race is. 3 days to go. Can't wait.

I laugh at this statement by Noah. The Usain that Tyson Gay beat in 07 was a very different Usain in 08. So is he saying that because he did it before he's likely to do it again? All the best to you sir.

He is a true specialist in the 200m however, his resume is missing Olympic Gold medals and the pressure to do so now will fold him as it did in the last Olympics where he took bronze in his best event the 200m.
