Just looking at the footage, it feels like it was trying just a wee bit too hard to be weird for weird's sake. Everything's so abstract and alien-looking, that's got to contribute to the problem of it being hard to connect to the game\story.

This game will always be under the shadow of Papers, Please unfortunately... You basically get to do the same thing every single day that passes with you having the power to change the future of people. Honestly? I love the idea. It opens a lot of speculations about today's society around the world, wether what we think of others is justified or simply seeing them as lunatics... As much as it ain't Papers, Please... With the right coverage this game can do greatly.

@royliber38242 жыл бұрын
You do however face few problems here... Saving your daughter and obey The Structure's dominance, or let the outsiders rush into the city and take control over it. Papers, Please is a game that became successful also because it was sort of a pioneer in its area... But yeah, the vibes aren't quite there like Papers, Please and I definitely feel it.

I dislike the use of the word lunatics in this video. "Constantly letting lunatics free" is fairly reductive and insensitive to very real problems in the US. Many mental institutions don't have the time or resources to help everyone and having to let patients "free" often leads to higher homelessness and suicide rates. I haven't played it so I don't know if that is actually the point the game is trying to make, but I take issue with the way you, the reviewer, talked about the subject matter of the game. Just because it's set in a sci fi setting doesn't mean it's not a real issue that you may want to consider your words more carefully when commenting on. Hope this doesn't come off as an attack or a call out. Just trying to provide constructive critique for future as someone who has dealt with and known many others who deal with mental health issues/institutions.

Speaking as someone who has been admitted to a mental hospital before, I think you need to lighten up.
@nicolasvidal923 жыл бұрын
There is a disclaimer before the game starts regarding the games use of "insanity" and says real mental health issues require proper treatment. This game uses the word because that's how The Structure views abnormal people and is world building for how they think a population should behave. But also yeah, you could chill a little bit. Three minutes isn't really enough time to go over the intricacies of mental health care.
