I hope they also plan on fixing the repeating collimator glitch! I made a workaround on WT Live, but I want a true fix that "clamps" (as it is called in the game files) the texture to one copy.

There’s still a lot of bombers that really need cockpit upgrades like several of the B-17s

So much was added to the dev server, that I don't think they could QA all that before the weekend. Also, the ray-tracing had some visual bugs that clearly indicated at least one feature from the dev server was not ready for release. I think we're gonna have to wait a little bit.

War thunder is starting to look better than DCS in some areas, namely the weather and clouds, and while better graphics is always appreciated, this is lipstick on a pig. The maps still suck, looking better =/= playing better

Most (around 70%) of the Tier 1 aircraft for a lot of trees need updated cockpicks or just a cockpit in general, and of course the ever famous unchanged since 2013 B-17 ‘Cockpit Placeholder’ but overall the new cockpits look amazing!

We don't just need updated visuals for ground maps or air maps, we need generally better maps overall for ground, bigger and better, for me that like long fun battles at least. For those who likes small maps with short boring matches (my opinion on it) should be getting that. Also to mention, I would rather wait an hour for one battle I enjoy over 50 battles I don't enjoy, and I am pretty sure some will follow me with this idea :) In which, those people are legends!

I think even if they’d make a selector where you can que for small, medium, large, or all map categories it would make a world of a difference. Playing 175m maps 5 battles in a row when all I wanted to play was an open landscape with no buildings makes the game feel like more of a chore then somewhere to spend my free time.

@@TimTheTinCan Not just open landscape, but villages, sandy dunes or sometimes even cities as large maps. In fact, they could probably take some of the Air SB maps and repurpose them into ground battles with little effort, for 5km all the way to 10km ranges (for those who want that as a battle format), or 2km to 4km map sizes, which is where most people at top tier right now would love to play at

That already exists, actually. What we really need for Air is the return of Air RB EC which was PvPvE, and was significantly more interesting and fun than any of the other air modes because of the way the matchmaking worked to create more historical scenarios, the variety of objectives being the same as SIM, and the match length was also, iirc, 2 hours so it wasn't as long as the SIM version.

I should add, that the already existing Air PvE is Air Assault.

​@kommandantkillcode but that's not really like the heli ec mode though it's just waves of bombers. You can also play as a helicopter on ground assault arcade but it's not the same thing

@@Salt_8956 There's also historical battles and dynamic campaigns, at least. Air RB or even an Air AB EC gamemode would be better to add to achieve the same thing and allow PvP too.

Next week probably they still need to fix a few things that were buggy on the dev and QA it so it’s hopefully not a hot pile of steaming shit because they missed one thing that cascaded into a bigger problem

😂😂 oh man I love using my aim 120s on mig 15 though where am I going to go😂😂 so the one big thing about the vegetation if you really cool if they upgraded it but you already know 90% of the people change their Graphics settings to where the vegetation doesn't show up and it looks like they're playing on a N64😂

They need to fix air BR's as well and flares/chaff i found that USA countermeasure work about 20% of the time but when I play Russia or China they work 60% to 80% just seems broken and makes me not wanna play if all my kills are free because gaijin has a bias/favorite nation

US has less aircraft that possess large caliber countermeasures, but in exchange, they have much more countermeasures to dump and achieve about the same effect for decoying IRs and notch-chaffing radars. Seems like a skill issue that can be rectified by following the advice guides of DEFYN or Seek for how to defend against such missiles, and also by practicing with friends or squadronmates in customs. U.S. has literally every other advantage in top tier air rn anyway, so there really can't be much to complain about.
