i also bought the iphone se 2, been using it for 2 months now, so far im likin it. I've been an android user eversince. its been a major upgrade for me as my last phone was from 2016. and does not support some apps anymore due to outdated OS version.Though i can still use basic apps. I can say it is really a powerful phone, you wont be disappointed in the performance. Camera is superb, although no night mode but you can have it by downloading an app (neuralcam) which is good enough for me. Battery is okay as i dont use it too often, it lasts a day for me, and charging is fast, even with the 5watt power brick. The 50 % in 30 minutes charge is true. Only downside for me is the screen size. If it were bezel-less and has a large screen to body ratio, it would have been perfect. Although its small sized its still good cause its really handy. You can use it easily with one hand. I dont know if you can get better phones (specs wise) with the $400, such as samsung a71, google pixel 4a and Nord. but given the OS that could support updates upto 5 years or more, i think its a big advantage over android phones.

Sammy Sweetheart I think slightly before.. the SE usually comes out in April. It definitely had the same specs as the 6s though. A9, 2gb ram, same cam (with digital stabilization) the 7 has the A10, same ram (3gb for the plus) and a slightly upgraded camera. The new SE is basically an 8 but with an A13 instead of the 11 and 3gb ram. I guess it's kind of like an 8s-s..

I bought it and really loved it BUT I returned it for the 11 for two main reasons: 1. The battery. This was the biggest issue. The SE does NOT have an all day battery. I was used to bad battery life anyway because of my older iphone but I was sick of having to worry about it running out. So now with the 11 I never worry about battery life. 2. The cameras. Let's face it: the cameras in the 11 are better. In particular the front facing camera is way better. Again, I was coming from an older iphone so the cameras on the SE were just as good if not better than my older iphone. But I'll just say it: I wanted nice cameras. Maybe I splurged here.
@alyssaalvarez61934 жыл бұрын
Weird. My SE gives me 6-7 hours of screen on time (iOS 13.6.1 made it better) but maybe you had a lemon. I hear a lot of mixed reviews about it. I’ve never experienced battery drain with this except for once after an update but after restarting the phone it was perfect.

I upgraded this year from an iPhone 7 Plus. The last small phone I had was the iPhone 5, then went slightly larger to a 6. Since then it's been larger phones for me. Originally I was like you and thought the larger phones would be too big and awkward. After trying the 7 Plus though, it was very comfortable, and because I am considered legally blind, having the larger screen makes it easier to read and see things without having to zoom in and out AS much. This year I went with a 12 Pro Max, and because it's about the size of the 7 Plus being larger only by 2 inches, give or take. It's extremely comfortable to use. Even with the smaller phones I lack the mobility to use a phone one handed, so it's always been two handed for me. I typically use one hand to hold the phone and one hand on the screen for touch.

Definitely recommending this phone to my mom and sister because they’re accustomed to Touch ID and you can’t beat Apple support for 5 years with wireless charging, fast charging, and IP rating for $400

great upgrade for me my first iphone was SE 1st gen then i decided to switch to android after a month i missed my handy compact device. so i decided to switch again for this little beast! and wow a13 never disappointed me. i do love a compact phone. i don’t really care about what people think about this phone because of old design big bezels or what. very simple if you don’t want big bezels dont buy. if you a gamer dont buy. but if you like a compact design friendly budget, but beast! you should buy this one!! more power to you sir!!!!

Great video... informative *and* entertaining! I picked up an iPhone SE (2020) a few weeks back to replace my original iPhone 6 with battery issues... the SE is awesome so far, worth every penny.

I ordered one today, even though my daily driver is an iPhone 12 6.1’ I also recently picked one of these SE’s up (in red) as a belated Mother’s Day gift.

Brilliant stuff, I was in the market to replace my iPhone 5S which was on its last legs anyway and I saw your videos on the this phone. I had been on the verge of tracking down a 6S, because it was cheap and had an earphone jack but in the end I was tired of struggling along with old technology. So, the iPhone SE 2 it had to be and I'm really glad I made the choice as it's been a breath of fresh air in terms of performance. As for battery life, well, the old 5S was lucky if would get through the morning without a top-up of power so the SE seems fantastic. Mind you the price here in Australia is a bit steeper than in the US, I'm a Brit so everything seems expensive here, at $749 AUD! The next thing I need to get my hands on is a Dell XPS 17.

I recommended it to my mother and she is very happy with it. I am a 15 year old that lives in Greece and unfortunately, everything costs 25% more because of the stupid VAT tax. (so she bought it for $500 but it was worth it’s price)

I have a doubt ! As we all know that over rhe time, the battery degrades. And batteries degrade according to their frequency of charging cycles. More frequent charging, means more likely for the battery to degrade over time. So, Considering this as an investment for a period of atleast 3 year, should the buyer be concerned ? Also, US market's price is way better than Indian Market price, so the price leverage is already blown out here.

I bought Apple care plus for $3.99 a month. They also have it for $79 which is cheaper but I wanted to be able to cut it off anytime. That being said, I think with Apple care a battery replacement is free. Without it, it’s like $49. Plus I’m getting really impressive battery life on this little phone (6-7 hrs SOT). I think Apple did a great job optimizing this thing.
@le_ghost4 жыл бұрын
@@alyssaalvarez6193 that being said, I think we can agree that battery degradation starts or atleast appear to start after 1-1.5 yrs usage. So, it seems, for an average person, initial 1-1.5 yrs should be hassle free without any extra service packages. Although it's good to have the peace of mind and availing the extra services. But at this budget, The services add up to cost of ownership which then hampers competitiveness. All this said, Personally, I too am very much fond of this phone. But I'm not buying it, atleast not in India 🤓

@@le_ghost I am still using iPhone 7plus released 2016, currently running iOs 14 which will also be available stable. Last month, I got a battery replacement from a third part repair centre for ~50 USD. ( I live in Thailand. I just did not pay for Apple care )
@chris6484 жыл бұрын
akshay ramteke I was originally worried about this until I found you can get an easy battery repair for 50 bucks when it really starts to dregrade
@le_ghost4 жыл бұрын
@@chris648 that's assuming batteries for this phone will still be available, If we look back on the first gen SE, despite the market differences, the availability of spare batteries now might be bit difficult. Same might happen for 2nd gen 😕. If not, it's just a fix for a problem that should not be there in the first place.

Even though I have the iPhone 11 promax 512 GB I ended up buying the iPhone SE 2020 in product red 256 GB model. You say something about other phones that have higher specs. In actuality they need it in order to run android. iPhones run perfectly on iOS and don’t need half the things Android phones do need. Google pixel cameras are over rated. Quite frankly it’s only software trickery they used to make it look a little better. I’d rather stay with Apple at The end of the day you get five years of support and sometimes even 6 years of support. Add to that at least for me these phones are so reliable that quite frankly I’m not interested in any other brand. I Just subscribe to your channel keep up the good work

I took my Xs last year to Jordan/Israel and those pictures turned out great! The pictures taken to show off the 12 series look great, if you want to take artsie type photos, but most people just want to take regular photos of everyday stuff. You don’t need whiz bang camera features to do that and the SE is proof. It takes great photos that regular people would take and for a lot less than even the 12 mini!

I just switched from Android ZTE to iPhone SE 2020 since last month, so far I have no regrets. To me the iPhone is much more smooth, good picture quality, apps load much quicker, and you can also change the flashlight brightness 😅. I barely have any issues since I adapted quick.

iPhone XR is the same price. I prefer gesture navigation and Face ID over the 16:9 home button layout. I’m not giving up the full screen layout for a slightly better processor. The XR has all the benefits. I wouldn’t have a problem with the size of the SE if we I didn’t get trapped by those bezels. I have fairly large hands, so the XR is the perfect size for me.
