Another week of waiting for the paperwork for our self built campervan and of course there's an issue, something else to hold us up.. Thankfully we have lots still to do while we wait! In todays video we tackle a nasty job, the worst part of the whole van build actually, we also show off some cheap but handy van life essentials, take a walk to some amazing river beaches and mention that we've got something huge happening next week.. Time to get that old van ready for a big adventure!!!!

Bougainville, very nice but more of a hindrance. We had this at our Spanish property, looks brill when in flower but good god it grows really quick and gets all over the place. Great vid again. Not long now and you will be on thee travels.

They are not truly flowers (bougainvillea) they are leaf bracts that are the bright colors. They are beautiful but do have long sharp thorns.

Hi guys .we are loving how your van builds are going. But O MY GOSH that MINT Bush! You know that blue octopus swingy thingy that you have as a clothes dryer.. you can also use that to hang and air dry a big bunch of herbs (mint) as you go along.(Mint leaves in ice cubes makes a nice touch for summer drinks) Also lasagna cooking.. is there an airfryer you might like? It's bougainvillea!! My absolute favorite plant that comes in pink, orange (as you've shown) and white which I found at the Jardín Botánico in Málaga when we were there last month. Love seeing the doggies enjoying themselves 💜

Very interesting video. Many thanks. The only thing that I picked up on was the mirrors. You have to be careful that they don't get into direct sunlight and then cause a fire. Friends of ours had this happen when the sunlight on a shaving mirror reflected on to their curtains and set them in fire. It burnt the house down very quickly. Apparently it is quite common.

Bougainvillea after Borganville

The red bushes are Bougainvilleas. Although they do come in other colours/shades. If you cut them back "too" much they can get long spines/spikes/thorns... but left alone they don't usually get them... as much. Those white and pink flowered shrubs - with the long leaves - that are around where you were walking along the the river and track, are Oleanders. I only mention them because all parts of the plant are highly toxic to animals and humans... just don't let Dizzy and/or Charlie eat anything that may have come from them or may even have gotten sap from the shrub on it. It will likely make them very, very sick.. it can be fatal.

I will miss your van building, the laughs, the miss-haps, the learning curve, tips & tricks..the innuendoes !. So many people doing van life it makes a change. So many of us especially British would love to be in a white village living the sunshine life, and you are doing it on our behalf ! You remind me so much of a couple I knew when I worked in Ibiza many years ago ! Maybe you can just do "What's On" in the village videos or little not far day trips with the occasional overnighter in a van ! I went to buy the Reolink Argus 4 Pro but the only shipping option I can find is from the UK. Customs in Malta is a nightmare for anything over £50. They make up the import duty depending on how they feel on the day. Such a shame for me as I can't be bothered with the hassle.

It’s 30 degrees down here, we keep eggs, bread, fruit and a lot of other things in the fridge in the summer months otherwise it’s gone off really quickly 😅

Yes bougainvillea as folk have said sadly if you have it in the UK you have to bring it in during winter as will not survive temp below 10c as we have been made aware

I once, many Moons ago, I brought a Golf Gt from Germany to Spain for import. It took 8 months and all because the Dude at the ITV center said that this year of Golf had BBS rims and NOT VW rims. What cost me 800,000 Pesetas to buy the Golf in Deutsch Marks, cost and additional 500,000 Pesetas to change the plates over to Spanish ones……All due to fines for not changing the plates over in a more efficient manner….. go figure
