Same I remember when I first got sent to boarding school years and years ago I would listen to these SCP videos from Eastside show and this one. When I wasn’t home for like the first year, I had a lot of trouble sleeping, but these things always helped me out every single night a new video just something to listen too. Years later, now I’m doing the same whenever I need to go to bed whenever I’m up but I need to go to sleep. Put this on put my phone under my pillow and I’m all good.

Your beneficial SCP video was what made me get over the hurdle into actually diving into the speculative horror world I've fallen in love with. They have been fantastic to listen to over and over during work. I may check out 40k stuff too, but habr no context for that universe yet.

I randomly started getting suggestions for 40K content, and stopped getting them for SCP content... despite the fact that I listen/watch SCP content, and had never watched a single Warhammer video befofe... A trend I expect is universal, just something the algo started doing to everybody, and the likely reason SCP content is down across the board, while 40K is rising. I have found some of the Warhammer 40K stuff interesting... they got some crazy like, void realm thats teeming with demons and, there's some interesting stuff there. Some of it is just silliness, and it definitely is not just like, a well full of stories the way SCP is. It's like so many games and books etc that have a whole mythology behind them, so many of these franchises have a mythology that's based on a bunch of existing stuff and, there's usually at least something of value there. there is SOME stuff there of value for sure. Exploring Series has a real knack for finding the SCP stuff I want to hear, I am hoping that there's some interesting equivalents in the Warhammer 40K universe that's presented similarly.

Some notes: Deva here is the Sanskrit term, meaning that they are the “Good” spirits. It is cognate with Deva in Persian, and Deity in English. Maharaja means “Great King” and Chakravarti means “Wheel Turning Kings” (Singular would be Chakravartim) "Rajmata" can roughly translate to "Rular Mother"

I was thinking that this 5 hour audiobook could be boring, and thats why i have been only listening to the older 20-40 minutes ones about various scp's. Boy was i wrong, the narrating, and the images, and the subtle noise make an atmosphere thats almost dream like. Its truly a narration. On comments of the exploring series i had seen talk about Volgun, and then i went and checked out their channel. I didnt really like it, as its not a narration, it doesnt have the cadence, the personality, the "que se yo" the "je ne sais quoi" but god damn the exploring series has it. Thanks for uploading scp's for so long, the quality is unmatched!. I will continue to watch and listen to this its amazing!!

I have to say, hearing the reference to captain nemo after reading a lot of Jules Verne in the past couple of years filled me with such glee. I am loving the forerunner triad/red tape canon. Rounderhouse excels at character writing, and the plot and worldbuilding had me hooked the whole time I was reading Jade. I've seen a few articles where the church of the broken god were not allied but friendly-er with the Foundation, so it's really cool to see the Daeva fit that role. This article alone could establish an entire canon; the Foundation resurrecting and forming a covenant with the Daeva is such a cool idea. I can't wait to see how Rounderhouse tackles the Sarkics.

My first thought was the fourth god was the black moon entity from 001-proposal when the black moon howls due to the mentioning of the moon as it would tie the administrator to all this. What I really like about it (after having listened to the whole thing for the 3rd time) is that after Amani Ram everything seemed black and white, meaning the Mechanites = good, the Deva = bad. This part, however, fleshes out the Deva not as cartoonish antagonists but as a group with their own ideology you can actually identify with and you can't help but warm up to them. Also, the clifhanger at the end where we find out that ... (not gonna spoil it here, listen for yourself) knocked my shoes right off. Please, take as much time as you need to deliver part 3 as good as the first 2.

This would make an extremely good TV series or possibly an epic 3-4 hr movie. The astral plane doesn't make sense to me tho. It's apparently a parallel dimension but it's difficult to grasp. It seems no different than normal reality except for time being skewed. Time is dependent on gravity so gravity has to be different on the astral plane which explains why the deavites are so much bigger and stronger than humans.
