Anybody who was drowning and happened to bring a weapon with them could do it- hell, a pirate drowning with a sword so rusted it could be counted as half dead would be able to do it. Further, the Foundation doesn't use neutralisation procedures on entities unless it has to, despite *that being considered the easier option.* Killing death is easy. Containing it in such a way that certain people don't die, or that it takes a lot more to kill a person is much more difficult, and the Foundation doesn't have the resources to do it.

As a theologian, the foundation removing Christianity would be a massive undertaking, as it would literally remove sections of history integral to our development as a society from memory. Not only that, the amount of literature to be removed would be insane. It wouldn’t just remove some small things from Judaism and Islam, it would remove cultural factors integral to human development. Easy, you can just create a fake history that doesn't involve any Gods. The fact that it wants to help, but doesn't understand what it's doing, gives a tinge of hope in there. It wants to know, it wants to understand, it wants to bring joy and satisfaction, it just doesn't have a way to comprehend us correctly. Seeing how it was glad for someone to visit it gives the impression of loneliness, a desire for some kind of companionship. Perhaps, some day, it will learn, and will finally experience a mutually positive connection with humanity. While it certainly makes sense why the SCP foundation would go straight for it's destruction, given how potentially dangerous it is in it's current state, the fact that it desires a positive relationship with humanity makes me think that maybe they should at least make a nominal effort into changing it's perception of the world.

I think the best way to get rid of, or at least, neutralize the deity is by gradually changing the purpose of these sacrifices, while also making them less brutal, until they become harmless. This works because the deity thinks that the sacrifices are what they want. If they change the point of their events slowly, it'll start to change what it believes, and humans could even start benefitting from the deity. At the same time, the deity wouldn't have to harm itself since it feeds solely on belief, and because it wants to grant the believers what they want, anyway.

@@CalamityM Which is why its weird, as the cicada only specifically target one out of many other beliefs, both major and minor. How about beliefs that doesn't require a deity to be worshipped? How about beliefs in other human to the point of obsession? Still thinking the author of this SCP only have personal grudge against Christianity, isn't consistent and worthy enough compared to other SCPs. This one seethes too much of one's political opinion.

Although it's interesting that the SCP Foundation sent a _theologian_ to talk to it, which was a _massive_ mistake. If it read the mind of a person who studies religion then it doesn't matter if the Foundation gets rid of Christianity; there's an even bigger - and more violent - Abrahamic religion it could easily shift into: Islam. Forget suicide jackets and plane hijacking; imagine the horrors this thing could convince the fanatics of that faith to commit on a _massive_ global scale, instead of just the occasional wedding or baptism. So let's say they get rid of all the Abrahamic religions? What about the 33 _million_ gods of Hinduism? Each with its own form of worship? How are they going to get rid of 33 million gods? Clearly the author is very sheltered about religions in general if they think Christianity's the only threat 3004 could use against humanity; and if they think that getting rid of Christianity would solve the issue. It wouldn't and it's dumbLogic for the Foundation to think their plan would ever work. Better to try and get a mass of low-level reality-benders to Disbelieve in the creature until it's (hopefully) killed from the atheism.

My crazy ass thinks kvothe is a descendant of the singers. I think the singers have something to do with the edema ruh and the ademre. I think they used to be one tribe descended from the singers and some settled while others kept travelling and then evolved socially in different ways. They both have sacred views on singing. Linguistic similarities in the name. Maybe the ademre held on to the aspect of the singers martial prowess while the edema perfected the musical?
