The supposed "god" of Sarkicsm, Yaldabaoth, expresses views that do coincide with a lot of what 610 causes. The problem is that in the versions of our reality that we've seen it control (SCP-2510), there doesn't seem to be any trace of 610-esque material or infection, at least in the small amount of time we've been to each. By the looks of things, the material there flat-out kills any human it interacts with, which heavily contradicts 610's preference to assimilate you. Plus there's the entire lack of infohazardous symptoms and the fact that 610 seems more of an intelligent bacteria than a red thing that can create what looks like portals to access at least new worlds and at most entirely new realities.

Here's an interesting interpretive twist: the wisp at the end isn't arriving on Earth...it's *leaving*. The reason the people of the other world know about Earth is that Earth is where the corruption comes from. Other interesting divergences in interpretation: I actually interpreted the two stellar bodies to be the moons of the other world, because they're shown setting on the horizon in the second painting. That painting is interesting, because it first shows a black hole and red point in the sky, but then shows the two moons as blue and setting. So I'm not certain where the red entity is really coming from (unless my "it came from Earth" theory holds). Notice that it's not only technological items that are colored blue. One of the children is blue, the butterflies are blue, and there's a blue cat. So the nature of the Blue entity isn't so clear-cut as to just be the god of their technology.

Anomalies were made by an artist and were originally meant to amuse and delight us. Someone else, the second artist, thought it would be better if they horrified and destroyed us instead. SCP Foundation is a universe run by the second artist. (The "blue child" might actually be SCP 173 back when its purpose was just that it chased you as part of a game instead of killing you. This SCP is actually terrifying and sad. It’s a serious threat to humanity and containing it is almost impossible. The foundation has to terminate every single person that’s affected by SCP 3007, it also affects people all over the world so the foundation has to kill thousands of people just to make sure this entity doesn’t enter our world. This red.... thing is in my opinion more terrifying than the Scarlet king just because we don’t excactly know what it is but one thing we know is that if it enters our world it will destroy humanity. Definetely one of my favorite SCPs of all time.

12:07 Late to the game, but after a rewatch I see how the blue entity is perched on top of a cylinder. I believe this is the corpse on the top of the tower. It would explain why all those people were attempting to reach it when the final whotsit happened. Maybe the depiction of the blue entity being drawn into the red triangle is symbolic of the blue succumbing to the infection, hence the grotesque appearance of the creature at the top of the tower. This is definitely one of my favourite articles on the wiki, though it probably has something to do with my preference for visual medium and Zhange's gorgeous artwork. (Seriously, her artwork page is beautiful, especially the GOI illustration!) It stroke a balance between horrific details and enough ambiguity, which is an impressive feat considering that this is her first SCP article. Honestly, all that I could make out of the story with my not-so-wondrous brain is that it's an invasion from some abstract Sarkic entity, probably an offspring of Yaldabaoth (not Yaldabaoth itself, of course, since the entity seems to only be a threat of a planetary scale). All in all, a solid article, cool story, even cooler artwork, and Zhange definitely holds a candle to even the great Sunny Clockwork himself! *[END MONOLOGUE]*

The vision leads to becoming a subject of The Flesh That Hates (Unable to recall SCP #) The visions start w/learning of the world, followed by signs of TFTH Infection.

Also, the blue entity seemingly died trying to protect the civilization and after it's gone the red entity seems weaker. Athough the place marked with red on the last painting doesn't match up with the location of first 610 outbreak, so this may not be related to Mekhane/Yaldebaoth as closely as one might think.

It's probably related to 610, or at least has a similar agenda, but this thing is more infohazardous than it is physically infectious, plus its spawn seem much less focused on terraforming and more on just killing. If Yaldabaoth is responsible for this, the blue figure could be a follower of Mekhane that told its story to the humans, as what happened to Mekhane is pretty clear considering what the Church of the Broken God firmly believes.

My interpretation is that the people the blue deity saved were transported to earth to form human civilization and were made to forget of the old world so the plague would stop but she (I’m gonna refer to the blue deity in feminine terms because she is portrayed as a female) had to stay behind. Slowly she is being killed by the red deity and causing the magic she used for people to forget to slowly start fading, somehow linking people back to the old world, causing the visions.

Just discovered this one today, omg i love it!! No idea what actually happened to that other dimension, and trying to figure it out through the paintings that one volunteer created. I think that blue creature, in a last ditch effort to save its world sent out a signal of some kind to our dimension, which is why we can suddenly see it. Maybe to get help or prevent it happening again, in another painting you see the blue entity leading other survivors somewhere else, and he stays behind and dies there. Something came and twisted the world, the people...i wonder if its related to that other scp the flesh that hates?? And in trying to get help it sent the infection to earth, causing that scp.

To me this is the origin of 610 and Sarcisism. The other world could be the origin point of Mechan and Yaldabaoth. Mechan grieved for and comforted those infected by Yaldabaoth's madness, but grew weaker as the infection spread. In the end, he made one last, desperate move to save his people, noticing that in similar desperation, Yaldabaoth looked for other worlds where she can gain soldiers and champions.

My interpretation of this for me is basically it is a parallel world, one where Mekhane is defeated by Yaldaboth. The reason it is "seeping" is because of Mekhane who is warning us about this spread and giving people a prophetic vision. The very reason why it is classified as a cognito hazard as if this knowledge becomes an accepted fact then the Broken Masquerade kind of situation will happen. The spread is not a bad thing but actually a good one. A warning of what maybe. I think the reason why Mekhane in this reality still exist in a way is because Yaldaboth knows better not to destroy he's equal.

It seems their version of The Flesh That Hates got loose on their planet, and their Yaldaboath won over their Mekhane. The wisp at the end is The Flesh That Hates getting to Earth. And the hallucinations are some sort of last-ditch effort to warn us in our dimension about all of it.

To me it seems less like the story of two creators and more of a story between a creator (blue) and a destroyer (red). I believe this to be the more likely case, since obviously, the blue entity finds beauty and pleasure in creation, regardless of what that creation is, whereas the red one appears to only find pleasure in and may only be capable of producing destruction, twisting and mangling that, which is already there until it is broken. Both of these entities may be bound by some physical limitations, leading me to not defining them as deities, but as transdimensional reality benders, powerful ones admittedly, but certainly not godlike. I wonder what happened to the blue entity. Did it die? Did it sacrifice itself to give us a warning (the pictures must have been created, so it might be the work of the blue entity)? Perhaps it was forced to merge with the red entity, allowing it to have some minor control over it, but ultimately just being part of the symptoms. I honestly don't know. Neither do I know, how exactly the red entity found and spread to earth, as it seemed to have been discovered and brought back by the red people, but we never sent out anything to explore another planet and discover discover an infection to bring back, unless the SCP Foundation did a mistake and is now attempting to clean up after itself.

I've always liked this one, and have been looking for some more insight than my art history BA could give me on interpreting the pictures. You learn a lot about reading images in art history. A lamb is not a lamb it is innocence, a swine is sin, important people appear larger than other in the image, etc. Personally, I think they fled to our planet. A lot of people mention Mekhane vs Yaldabaoth but is there a Sarkic cognitohazard SCP? The only one that sounds vaguely like this is 2480, where the anomalies are mostly invisible. Maybe the memetic hazard is a hallucinogen that's caused by invisible entities that do similar things as the ones in 2480. That's the only way I can see this story tying to Mekhane and Yaldabaoth in my head anyway.

Blue lady is probably some Broken God deity/demigod, meaning red stuff is probably sarkic and the “disease” is just the belief in sarkicism and a lot of the population died out of sacrifice or summoned something that wiped them out. If i saw it right, one of the blue things in the gears painting was shaped like the teleporting statue scp (can’t remember what the number is), which makes me think this was another universe entirely. Maybe one where, not only is the broken god not broken, but sarkicism has no god and/or is a human practice in hopes of being as strong/stronger than the broken god.
