I had actually kinda gave up I asked a few times about it and they were waiting on stock since then are always out On Amazon and were always selling out. Then one day I get home and it had snowed and I see boot prints in the snow and I follow them to my detached shop. I open the door and low and behold a huge ass black box from primeweld! My brother happened to be the UPS guy on the route and didn’t wanna leave in the open so he out in the shop ( I was kinda tripped out they would just walk in my shop so I figured he might have had the route so I called he and he started laughing and he was like I didn’t think you wanted that on the porch while you were at work even though your in the mountains) so yes they are an amazing company and there customer service is out of this world. If there’s ever trouble with the machine they usually ship you a new one instead of making you wait for the repair I was blow away

I realize this review is over a year old, but wanted to note that as of November 2019, PrimeWeld began shipping this unit with a new (more traditional, center-pivot) foot pedal. Have had my unit for two months, and couldn't be happier.

I own 5 welders AHP, Everlast and Hobart and happy with all of them. This company has really caught my eye lately. Great reviews and most speak very highly of their customer support and seem to honor there warranty as expected. I've read and heard they make some of the best plasma cutters out there also with better than most attachments. I think I'm going to get their 60 amp just to look at it. You do the best reviews on KZbin. Fair. Informative. Helpful. Thanks.

I love my Primeweld TIG225 so much I also bought a Primeweld Cut60 plasma torch to make a CNC plasma table out of. One of the great things about Primeweld products is the fact that they really do have 24/7 service. Twice I have had a question and sent an email on a Sunday afternoon and both times I had a useful answer within an hour or less. Also, the new, upgraded foot pedal works great.

After watching your review I knew this was the welder I needed. I ordered one on 12/27/18. My delivery date had some issues and I was emailed possibly another week, from Amazon, which isn't going to work. You said Primeweld had excellent customer service and I found out how excellent. I can confirm this is correct. Mine came in this week with the upgraded pedal, it was the first thing I checked when I cracked the box. They upgraded box too, like it matters, but now it is colorful cardboard instead of the standard brown. :-) Ships ground out of NJ, at least mine did, so that will give you an idea of shipping time to where you live. I get to start breaking the unit in today, time to run a circuit upgrade in the garage and burn some rods until my bottle comes in.

I was looking at the Yes Welder and the rabble of other Amazon cheap welders. Saw this review and spent some time checking it out. I don’t spend money lightly ( cheap f…), but pulled the trigger. It arrived in less than 2 weeks across the border to Canada!! Packaging was flawless and was excited to get going ( hadn’t done any welding in over 40 years - TIG welding is on my bucket list!! Never having used tig before I had major trouble getting to work….. turns out the foot pedal was pooched from the get go. I hooked up the finger trigger and amazingly was welding ( not pretty but first time they looked like welds !!! Anyway. 1 email and a brand new foot pedal arrived within the week ( again to Alberta Canad ) Worked perfect and they said ‘ just keep the old one for parts’. It’s been awesome in every way. Justin, I like what your doing. You have a very good informative channel. For 50 years TIG was and is my specialty. These new machines are amazing. I still use my 2000 Miller 250 square wave and it does just fine. As for pulse I use my foot control. HAHA Keep up the good work.

I learned TIG 'back in the day' when we had to figure it out without fancy features. All the nifty settings and adjustments are tools - not crutches. But I'm definitely excited to see them as an OEM function. Not needed - but really nice.

I have been researching AHP 200x and the Everlast 200dv for over a year now trying to make a decision and get as much info as possible. This video and talking to Mike at primeweld on the phone has made my decision real easy. No more struggling over yellow or green. Black is going to get my money as soon as they are in stock. And, if it breaks, I'm not shelling out cash to pay to have it ship both ways. This, i think, is going to make yellow and green have to step up and start doing the same thing or get left behind. Not to mention the primeweld includes a CK torch with a super flex cable. Nuff said.

I'm considering taking my 220 Vulcan Tig back to harbor freight and getting my 1000 bucks back. For 775 this things is a steal. It's settings are way to simple to actually daily drive it. Harbor freight I guess was appealing to the average beginner tig welder which its okay for. It doesn't even have post or pre flow settings!

Nothing wrong with the Vulcan stuff, in fact those machines are a pretty damn good value, I would be perfectly happy with one. This 'PrimeWeld' is just an anomaly in the market, plain and simple, it just isn't fair to compare any other machine to this, it's such an abnormally great value.

Looks can be very deceiving my friend. I have welded with a 110 volt MiG 140 Hobart and Lincoln 225 stick machines but this is way out there. 👍If you get a chance to use one you will see quickly that Justin nailed it here. 👍😃😆

My PrimeWeld story. I decided I was going to learn how to tig weld. After doing my research I decided on the Prime Weld 225. It sat in the box for 4 months until I finally was ready to focus on learning. I set it up and started practicing. After 2 days the regulator flow ball was not working properly, the ball sat at the bottom no matter what I did. Miffed, I switched out the regulator from my mig welder and started practicing again. I sent an email to primeworld customer service and told them about my experience. I couldn't find my receipt, I really figured I was just going to need to buy another one because it had been so long, my fault for not inspecting things quicker. Much to my surprise, customer service found my original purchase paperwork, asked me a couple more details about my regulator to confirm it was dead and not me using it wrong (I took no offense to that, it's entirely possible). Then they shipped out a brand new one completely free of charge! Prime Weld showed me that customer service is not dead! Since that time I have learned to tig well reasonably well and I use it nearly every day. It's a great machine, I'm extremely happy with it, Prime Weld has a customer for life. There you go, that's my story.

I put a 1" square piece of aluminum on the foot pedal which made it a lot more comfortable. I don't have enough seat time to know about control. Nice to know that there's other options out there for foot pedals that give you more control. My current issue is keeping my tungsten separate from the metal I'm welding. The way I weld you would think the two were star crossed lovers who can't stand to be apart any longer. I spend more time grinding tungsten then I do welding, meh, one day I'll get there.

i assume this was reviewed on 220VAC? i would have liked to see him do both, 220 and 110, just so those of us garage DIY'ers that dont have 220 yet know what to expect. great video!!!!

Had mine for 10 months. Still love it. All these videos and social media have made me a little insecure about longterm use with it though("get an everlast or miller if u wanna 'go pro' and have a machine that WILL last 10 years) I've welded proficiently with everything but titanium, inconel, magnesium, platinum etc lol with it. NO PROBLEMS AT ALL. have a nice nova foot pedal, furick arsenal, all that. Getting water cooler and ck20 next week for it. Some say "if u really want to utilize a cooler, get a 275> amp machine" but why?? I hardly EVER am welding 1" aluminum...and basically everything else, it handles great, AC AND DC. AND ITS SHOWING NO SIGNS OF AGING, AFTER ALMOST A YEAR. but now, sadly, me constantly wanting more, wanting to get better, wanting more capabilities, more machines/tools/skills...has made me think I need to invest in a everlast 315lx or 355ext. Simply for the amps, and advanced Ac wave forms. It will not make me MORE money.....am I blowing money by buying another machine not even a year later, or is it a solid investment? All comments appreciated

I’m a brand new welder that doesn’t like junk ( even if it’s cheap) I’d rather pay once and once only. My research says that tig is the way to go and, can weld everything ( yes?) Im looking to pull the trigger And I think this machine is the one

A lot of folks are asking for a comparison between this machine and the AHP but I really want to know how it compares to a $3000 machine; either a dedicated TIG machine or one of the new multi-process machines like ESAB 205? As a new TIG welder would I see the difference in my welds?

For Europeans watching: It appears that there is a clone of that thing for us. It's the Sherman TIG 210. Rated at a little lower amps, the case has a slightly different shape and therefore the switches are a little different. But other than that it looks extremely similar.
