I like to think I'm pretty good with DC tig, but have never gotten much practice on AC. You have no clue how much this video helped me understand it better

You should say MAG! MIG is only for non ferrous metal's like aluminum, copper, magnesium etc. Inert gas is 100% Argon with no active gas inside, so its not appropriate for carbon steel. Active GAS is Argon with a small percentage of active gas, that transforms inert gas on active gas.

Anyone try 16mm fixtures in their prime weld table? Do they fit better than 5/8? I know they say it’s 5/8 but curious
@douggolde758217 сағат бұрын
I learned welding in high school shop. They don’t teach kids useful stuff today.
@FRO_TV18 сағат бұрын
The tig225 is such a great machine!! Regarding the exhaust- Do you set up a fixture to keep it in place, or just a second set of hands and some tacks? Do you let the part cool (more than 10 minutes) inbetween passes to control the heat input/warpage? What are the big "do and don'ts" with a job like this?

Have you used Solar Flux instead of back purging on stainless exhaust?
@nomoreusmcКүн бұрын
I want to know if you're going to back purge and how you're going to do that with a regular regulator? Hopefully? I would love to know how to put a water-cooled torch on my current PrimeWeld tig unit. Never sure which adapter to get probably the thing that has stopped me from water cooling my machine.
@kricketscreations488720 сағат бұрын
when you go to a water cooler you will need to get a water cooled torch to go with it you can look here at weld metals or prime weld to get you set up

The main giveaway for the machines is US only (due to legal reasons and regulations). I can send a random free torch anywhere with which is why I added them.

Despite you saying the look of jig welds doesn’t matter, you still make good welds even in that. That’s the mark of a true craftsman & exemplifies why I can’t get enough of these vids.

Does tack welding can be used to weld battery terminals instead of laser welding?
@sailingkulali4 күн бұрын
Hi thanks so much for your video. I'm just trying to understand the technique of welding smaller passes. At the start there were a lot of holes forming in the weld from the junk. But when you do the smaller passes the bead seems to be very clean. I am not sure how you did this. Is it that it's just a smaller weld and it doesn't create a big puddle for the junk to come out? Do you grind back the welds after it has lifted the junk? Thank you for your help.

They are legit. For an "Welder Operator" loading and running a robot welder. This sort of thing is more ideal than a standard hood since you are ..just never..intently staring really close at the torch or are catching a ton of sparks. So..for someone who is a welder..welding..yeah...terrible concept..For guy like me who ends up programming a Six-Axis co-bot welder/the end user operator. Perfect.
