In Calgary Alberta. Watched it at a bar with many gooners. 2:0 i broke down, depressed and in tears with the Birmingham final still in the memory, haven’t won a cup/title in years. I went to this game… I went to every round that season. When we were 2-0 down I was saying to my friend “ah we’re going to lose” by that point I was just annoyed. Football can be so cruel, you need to seize moments like these, title races, cup finals, because you never know how long it will take to get into position again, it had been 9 years, we really really needed this one, If we didnt win this one, we may still have been waiting for another trophy to this day, but obviously we managed to get it over the line and retained it the following year. Cruel on hull, they had their moment, a play off final at Wembley with Dean Windass, but that doesn't really count as a major honour does it? This was the one they needed , Its been another 9 years and they haven't come close to winning anything else since. Every season as a football fan you live on hope.
