as an installer of stone and brick vaneers , i have to disagree with this product. Keep the videos coming. MLHR

Greg, thank you for this post. It's good to know civil people can still have different perspectives and opinions without it turning into a boxing match. And... I agree! Stone will always be the "real thing", it just wasn't in our budget and not in my DIY wheelhouse. In fact these panels look pretty great now that they are installed. If/when we can take the next step to add some stone accents to our front porch walls (which we think will look awesome), we will need a professional like you to get the work done. Anyway... Best to you from Michigan. Thanks for watching our little channel.

Absolutely. This is a very generic way to say “I have stone pillars”

As a new homeowner, I’d like to express my deepest gratitude for this video. I’m about to tackle this project and the aid of your video I’m feeling more confident

Hey, I really appreciate the kind words. Small channels like mine aren't getting the exposure they used to, so feedback like this is awesome!

Love this and will likely use the same company to wrap my columns. I've got 8 to wrap. The one thing i would have done differently is cut the top cap on the diagonal instead of down the middle.
@TheFamilyWoodworker11 ай бұрын
I agree! I think it was easier to cut the straight line along a square edge, and the diagonal cut (for me anyway) wouldn't pass through my band saw without hanging up on the corner. Still like the look and performance of the wraps even through this second winter...

Hi I'm really interested in this stone wrap so can you guys Sent me the Link where can I buy this things
@TheFamilyWoodworker Жыл бұрын
Hi Marcos! If you don't have a local Menards store near you, the link to the manufacturer is at the 34 second mark in the video. anticoelements.com. You can order samples or the product direct from them inside the US. Thanks for watching!

As these things can only really be used outside, why oh why are they not already UV tolerant?

Loved your video can you tell me where purchased this product?

I got mine from a US Midwestern store called Menards - but you can buy direct from www.anticoelements.com/ Lots of colors to pick from

Hey man... great news on your recent announcement. This was a pretty easy project that looks great. Wanted stone, but this worked out well and it was easy to work with.

* * They mention "great customer support" on their web site...!! THERE IS NONE ! I've been calling for a while now and NOBODY answers their phone. All they want is to leave a message and then NOBODY calls you back ! * * Is this a company you want to do business with ? ...............................................................By the way...you did a GREAT job...!

Sorry to hear that. On my order they even called me back to confirm the color of the post caps which I appreciated. Not sure what's happening there... Hope it turns out OK for you.

Can you please help me where can order them

Search on Antico Elements on the web. They are based in the US and will ship direct within the US. Hope this helps!

Looks nice. My only problem is when that wood deck rots and needs to be replaced, you'll have a problem.
@TheFamilyWoodworker6 ай бұрын
@2:34 I talk about replacing the decking, the original cedar was crumbling, the gray planks are composite.

Thanks, but lighting doesn't apply to this project, and I can see by your channel that you represent a lighting supplier.

While these look great, they lack is one main area....the foam chips easily and is not what my customers want. Compared to real stone, these are quite expensive. Real stone veneer is hard to beat. Keep your videos coming. There are DIY'ers out there who will be happy enough with these.
@TheFamilyWoodworker Жыл бұрын
SV47, thanks for the reply! I think I might argue about the "Easy to chip" perspective. My beagle and his steel leader cable wrap around the posts every day, pulling hard whenever he sees another dog... no dents or damage. I also found that the stacked stone veneers (retail pricing) were more expensive, but if you're a contractor, you might have the advantage on better sourcing options and cost. In the end I still think stone is the better call, but for my home, these are holding up really well a year later.
