I think its time to beef up the fence on that catch trap. Pipe posts would certainly be a lot stronger down in the crowding area. Nice video, keep em coming man...

...watch a number of cattle ranching videos...city boy enjoying it from my rocking chair...note that unlike the other cattle ranchers...I do not see you all brand or ear tag your cattle...though you have some processing done thru the chute...and your cattle move fast and athletic...due to Brahm blood??

Good to see the “pros” have their struggles too😜. Nice pen set up, the man that designed that did a good job. I bet you don tell dad that he “ruined the shot “! 😂

Are those steers or heifers and why do you say buy and catch bye for sorting
@TheFarmGuy2 жыл бұрын
Both. Catch or bye just means wether my brother lets them go by or puts them in the catch pen. The ones that are being sold or the ones that are staying.

Thanks. Yes they do. It will probably be when I shoot the next video. Got a few more that need finishing up first.

Just because you have the pens and land does not mean you should own cattle. WOW and not in a good way.

Why would you crowd crazy yearling in a crowd pen like that when it's quite obvious the fence can't and won't hold them? I wouldn't even attempt that. It just stirs them up more and creates a wreck that could be avoided! Anybody that works cattle should know this! Unless you think it creates more drama for the camera. I don't mean to sound harsh, but your other pens are much better than the crowding area, and they learn that quickly!
