Farmhouse Breakfast Casserole
1 lb Breakfast Sausage
1 medium onion chopped
1 cup chopped green pepper
6 green onions sliced
2 garlic cloves minced
2 cups cheddar cheese shredded
1 to 2 tomatoes chopped
salt and pepper to taste
12 eggs
1 3/4 cup milk
Assemble per video instructions and bake at 325° for 70 minutes

Leslie, that casserole looks so good. In fact I went to my freezer to get sausage but only had maple flavor & just didn’t think that would work. Gonna get me some regular & make that. Couple weeks ago I traveled over to Tellico Plains Tennessee to a Mennonite Farm Stand. I bought a tomato box filled with green beans for $20! Brought them home, snapped them then canned them. I got 37 jars; 7 were quarts the rest were pints. Ohhh & they are delicious. I kept enough out to make a mess for us & I tell you what they were amazing! Gonna watch your next video. Leslie, radishes are a great substitute for potatoes. They taste like a mixture of potato and onion when fried. I am not a radish fan at all, BUT they are delicious fried. Keto low carb friendly ❤😊😋

Yes, Leslie, i used to eat as many raw beans as i could snap them. My Mom used to say, "That will make you sick eating them raw!" My reply was, "Well lets find out!" They never did, but they tasted so good, i just couldn't help myself. I still like em raw! Btw...im making the Breakfast Casserole right now for our supper. Just got it all together and in the oven. Hoping my hubby will like it. He's not big on tomatoes so i didn't put a lot in. I will let you know what the consensus is when it comes out.

It was WONDERFUL!!! Hubby loved it. Was going to oven fry potatoes too, but got so carried away with the casserole, i forgot them! Hahaha! My husband said, no biggie! But it was just me and him, the casserole was in a 9 x 13 pan and its more than half gone. Plus i made biscuits too! They were fantastic too! Thank you for sharing your recipes with us, Leslie. I love it so much, your my first go to when i can't decide what to make. 😂

Well think I’m gonna go get some green beans at the lil market. Was telling my daughter yesterday that the ones we fixed on the 10th for her Nannie’s bday were so good. Probably won’t fix til Sunday. You eating that raw GB made me think of my mom. She would eat raw cabbage, potato, turnip. Carrots, celery .. salad veggies is all the raw I can do lol Let’s go run a quick errand before this heat starts up. OH the casserole… right before you said maybe jalapeños I was thinking that instead of as much onion. Tomorrow is mri day so we’ll go to McDonald’s before so may try the casserole on Sunday. We made so many breakfast casseroles. They really are great. Perfect cold and cut into squares for other meals and snacks. I would definitely do mushrooms and bacon, but no green peppers please. Ugh. Even the smell makes me sick. Your show is such a blessing. Thank you for sharing.

Maybe you can buy you a bushel of green beans. Greasy beans are $80/bushel and half runners are $45 here in western NC at a farm stand that grows a lot of their stuff. They’ve gone up, but everything has. Folks don’t realize how NC can become a jungle in summer with weeds and grass and all. Especially over this way. It’s a rainforest and we have had a to. Of rain this year.

You eatin that green bean reminded me of when we went to Nova Scotia one summer. I stopped at a farm stand they said try the corn. They ate it raw and I tried it. Now that was good! It was the variety and then freshly picked.

Gosh, I hate that happened to your garden on your vacation. Too bad it couldn’t have been tended to while y’all were away. I tend (water & pick) my exhusband’s garden (& mail) when he’s on vacay. I get to keep any pickens if ready. Most of the time when he’s away, tomatoes are not ready but the squash & zucchini’s are growing like crazy.
