When i was young, my daddy's brother and his wife would come visit most evenings. We would pop popcorn, pour it in a dish pan, and we kids loved it. My aunt Charlotte would make us a special snack by putting peanut butter on a saltine cracker and top it with a marshmallow. Put it in the oven and roast the marshmallow what a treat way back in the day. I was thinking your little boys may like it also if they like peanut butter. Wonderful Memories!❤

Leslie you can stand up your cracker sleeve and using the palm of your hand just push down to crush while holding the sleeve with your other hand. It works wonderfully. I learned it from Cooking with Brenda Gantt. You dont even open the pack. Love watching your videos ❤ God bless you and your family

I love Ree Drummond, too. Several years ago, I remember seeing on her Facebook page someone asking about her shirts and she posted the link that she got them from. I've always liked her clothes too. So, this is a little off topic but if I remember correctly, when y'all were at the aquarium while on vacation one (or maybe both) of your grandsons really liked the sharks and I wanted to let you know that on the National Geographic channel they're having a Sharkfest right now (for 4 weeks total so I think 2 more weeks left) and showing all kinds of shark shows all day and night. And on July 23, on the Discovery channel the real Shark Week starts and they'll show shark shows all week.

I love squash casserole, it's my favorite, and I like my squash al dente too! Never tried it using sour cream, we normally use a whole cup of mayo for those who don't like sour cream. But it is delicious!

Have you ever made squash casserole with cream of mushroom soup and Pepperidge farm dressing? Leave out the Mayo. Topping is cheese also cheese in casserole. It's good also.

I cook my squash and zucchini in the microwave. I don’t add water but season it and cover. You will be amazed at the water that cooks out! Since you have squash in the garden, you can make a low carb version by making like a savory custard out of eggs and cream and you can use Mayo and sour cream plus cheese and be super low carb.

Hello, I enjoyed watching you fix the squash casserole, looks good. I noticed that the casserole dish that you used is painted. I don't want to cause fear or anything, but, I recently watched something on lead paint poisoning from painted baking dishes. I am a survivor of Chiari Malformation surgery in December of 2020. I don't know if my dishes played a factor in my diagnosis or not. I am going to get rid of all of my painted baking dishes because sometimes I have some issues. Please don't freak out, I may just be overly cautious. I enjoy your channel and you. Have a wonderful weekend 😊

I know you're trying to do a low carb eating plan. You could change out the Ritz crackers for crushed pork rinds. Totally low carb and the pork rinds would season it really well. 😋

I learned from my daughter years ago that if you need to use bagged cheese rather than shredding it yourself, the yellow cheese has the chemicals and the white cheese does not. Reading the bags, I discovered that this is true. Thought you might want to know.😁

I wasn't ever either and I am a senior but about 15 years ago my mother-in-law showed me an onion. a saute with zucchini and diced tomatoes. Then she had me cover it with provolone and mozzerella and grill the top.Yesterday I added yellow squash too. Like Leslie said it gives the vegetables more integrity instead of mushy. I like it!

Love squash casserole.....yum. Funny, today I bought a can of spray cheese for the first time in YEARS, and put it on Ritz crackers while I unpacked my haul!!! Sending the rest of the can home with my son....I don't need it, but I could spray it in my mouth from the can!!!! Happy Friday Eve!

It would be great to learn, as an interested group, on how to convert the recipes you feature on your channel to healthier recipes. Both ladies you featured this week have gone into eating better and as a result… have lost weight. Someone out there surely knows how to convert recipes into healthier recipes without loosing the great taste🥰 that we can all benefit from and enjoy👏👏👏 Perhaps that might be a platform for you. I agree. I use to use applesauce (unsweetened plain) instead of oil when baking. Things like that add up and would be neat. I think you can use yogurt instead of sour cream. There’s lots of ways to cut calories . Seems diets are different now days. Use to, ll the high fat diets were frowned upon. I don’t know anymore, but I’d imagine weight watchers recipes would show how to substitute things to make healthier.
