The key here is proving the discretion of the schools authorized through the state, not the perceived rights of parents and guardians. Is this (gender issue) a subject to be protected by confidentiality? If yes, is the confidentiality protection more than what is necessary to achieve that means? These two key questions have to be answered to settle this debate. Parental rights have always been limited and have always been related to discretionary matters over legal obligations like health and safety of the child. That discretion has never been construed to give parents an absolute priority over health and safety of the child, among other things, and never should be.

Trangenders are people , not a movement. Religous liberty is the right to worship as you believe , not to force your dogma on others.
