I used to follow Jim's daily vlogs or near daily. If I remember correctly, Tanya and Jim split up/divorced and then Tanya kept Martha and gave her away, even though Jim and his audience loved that damn dog. It was a whole thing.

I have been wondering about Martha too I know they divorced because Jim was jealous of her career and all the time it took away from him. He even cheated. I knew Tanya got the dog then it just disappeared I thought they shared custody or something I was so heartbroken when she just disappeared. I guess this is some closure but would have really liked her to just say something like she has been rehomed etc I mean how difficult is it? 🥹🥲🥲

The origin reason for the “Where’s the hound” thing was because when Tanya and Jim divorced, all their fans were wondering what was going to happen with their dog Martha. Tanya hated the insistent questions from fans online that she banned the tags “dog” and “Martha” from her socials. People were trying to get around this by hash tagging her in “Where’s the hound” instead. I think she just made a sweeping statement that Martha was well, and was re-homed to somewhere very far away. No idea why she was so touchy about a simple question.

I remember watching all those people back in a day and thinking how cool they were and doing all those fun things together. It's funny to look back from a perspective of a 30 year old. It all seemingly wound down between Tanya and Jim's wedding in 2015 and their divorce in 2019. And it only shows how you can be friends with people, celebrate milestones, go to each other houses, etc.only to one day not remember their dog's name or when was the last time you have seen them... Marcus and Naomi broke up, Zoe and Louise fell out - funnily enough Marcus and Louise stay in touch with each other over the other member of 'the Brit Crew', which seems like a rather surprising paring? Jim and Tanya divorced. I am sure I saw Zoe and Alfie meet them both at some point since they had children, but there is a level of detachement that I would not have predicted 10 years ago. Funny how life goes. As for Martha, the most logical explanation always was that she was re-homed. Whatever drama was there about it (custody battle, split care arrangements), etc. doesn't really matter. They couldn't continue sharing the dog (it was not that kind of amicable break up). If Tanya instisted on keeping Martha and then re-homed her rather than simply letting Jim have her that would have been a low move but I don't understand why people thought they drowned her in a well or something. I equally don't quite understand why they couldn't just say it and be done with, but people do weird things when going through stress and divorces are stressfull I guess.
