I unsubscribed from several different types of email outlets and already see a big improvement in my in box. I struggle with perfectionism and waste time rearranging throw pillows, home decor, and countertops. I'm going to watch The Silent To Do List "again" and get rid of more stuff. Have a great day.

Totally agree with the “needs response” folder! I have to keep those in the inbox because out of sight, out of mind 😅

Yes!! It's so much easier to know I can jump on and reply without sorting through everything too.

The 'snooze email' function is my best friend! Any email that needs some sort of action (either by me, or I'm waiting on the respondent) gets snoozed for a time -- then, when it pops back up in my inbox, I know I need to either nudge the person I'm waiting on, or see what the next action step for me is, etc, so that I can properly deal with it. I need the extra goose from an email popping up -- if I put it in a different folder, I'd just ignore it. 🙂

Thanks for the inspiring video, Kalyn! For a long time I forced myself to read books to the end (the ones I paid for, of course, but even just the ones I borrowed for free), but I actually save that time now. Hopefully I don't make the mistake of not following your 4th tip 😉 Many greetings from Germany

Hi! Thank you so much. I'm glad to hear you also have given yourself permission to skip the books that aren't a fit! :)

I so with you on not wasting time finishing boring books! And yes, I need an email system.

It can be really hard to give ourselves permission to quit, but it's really wonderful to have the time to read what I actually _want_ to as well.

I am a huge book reader. When I am reading a certain type of book, I highlight and make a SHORT note, then a longer note using my voice, then transcribe it using AI and put the audio and transcription in my book tracking database page, which provides for this. I write my review at a later time, and can refer to these quickly. Because I am 65, I read few non-fiction books, and those are not for improvement but for entertainment. For example, literally next up in my queue is “Operation Underworld: How the Mafia and U.S. Government Teamed Up to Win World War II” by Matthew Black. I never knew this, so I added it because it sounds interesting. Not self improvement as I don't expect to need to spew out what I learned, but I want to know anyway. I will use the technique as if it were fiction. This has so much helped my ADHD mind, you have no idea. Also, about not reading some books, I have a favorite author I used to read. One, I couldn’t get into. Literally tried 4 times and stopped at the same place every time. Fourth time is the charm. I skipped that page and loved the rest of the book.

Oh, making an audio review to refer to later sounds like a wonderful idea!! Thanks for sharing!
