Akuma is a glass cannon, so damage on him is always higher than most because he has low HP. It’s how the devs balanced him.

So far its looking like the benifits of having too many tool at cost of low health doesn't pay well for akuma. good chunk of those tool are never used anyways (looking at couple of akuma matches so far),and some moves are just gimmick at best never used(like flame fireball , charged fireball, air tatsu) If anything these extra tools cause choice overload imo. meanwhile high hp high dmg chracter can do similar if not more dmg to akuma with less technical combos.
