Great video as always. Beside identifying companies with strong moats paying growing dividends, an impt point is knowing when to buy at a Low risk price . Identifying such price by Intrinsic value calculations may not be practical as such calculation has many assumptions which may not be accurate and is tedious. Does your course teaches the When to buy and Sell in easy to apply formula? Tks
@TheFifthPersonChannel2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Philip! Yes, we teach how to value dividend stocks and REITs, and the best time to buy/sell based on these metrics. The metrics we use are simple and commonsense, and don't require complicated financial models. We believe in keeping things simple!

Can incorporate margin financing on dividend stocks if you have some risk appetite... and get the dividend to go back paying the principal and interest (technically reinvesting back). Eventually the whole pot will belongs to you.

Great video yet again! May I ask, what is the next common financial goal after hitting 100k by 30? Is it 200k by 35 or something like that? Have u guys heard of any?
@TheFifthPersonChannel2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! 100K by 30 is the first stepping stone. Past that, it's really up to you to define what your financial goals are. ($1M by 40?) 😊

Pardon me, I think QAF forward dividend and yield is 2.34% not 5% (mentioned) asindicated from Chart in Yahoo Finance. Could help check in on this. Maybe I’m seeing the figures wrongly. Thank u.

We used historical dividends in our chart. Yahoo Finance uses forward dividends. Hope this explains!

To sumise the whole video, is all about having sufficient capital and buying at the right time. Not easy for the common folks to buy the dips. How about DCA strategy for ppl with low capital.
@TheFifthPersonChannel2 жыл бұрын
You can apply a DCA strategy with a well-diversified ETF for dividends.

Is dividend investing really safe? because QAF 5 years ago was 1.5, and capital wouldve dropped around 50%, despite the 5% dividend. How can we be sure that we should hold this long term with the assurance our capital will not depreciate further?
@TheFifthPersonChannel2 жыл бұрын
Great question! Even though many quality dividend stocks are relatively stable, it's still important to know when to enter and exit a stock based on its valuation. Five years ago, QAF was trading near their historical low yields and would have been a bad time to enter.

Are SG Reits' dividends tax free or only stocks dividends are tax free? Or as long as it is dividend no matter it is Reits or Stocks they are tax free in SG? I think I heard something about 10% tax withholding for Reits in Malaysia. What about in SG? Thanks.
@TheFifthPersonChannel2 жыл бұрын
Hi Adam, dividends from Singapore stocks and REITs are tax-free. Malaysian REITs have a 10% withholding tax. www.iras.gov.sg/taxes/individual-income-tax/basics-of-individual-income-tax/what-is-taxable-what-is-not/dividends

understandably, the purpose of buying dividend stocks is to maintain steady cash flow but dividend are slow if you're not yet retired. I have a couple dividend stocks. I've rather opted for more aggressive approach. Investing has no one way to it if you ask me

Time. They invest prudently, avoid unnecessary risks, and let time and compound interest to run its course. Before you invest, it's also important to know what your financial needs/goals are, and to create a portfolio that's tailored toward achieving them. This will be different for everyone. to differentiate yourselfs from the many internet gurus, instead of giving retrospective examples you may want to give specific price & time-targeted stock picks. otherwise, its all just showcasing your 'wisdom' after a stock has popped.

Hi Kiat Yong, we totally understand where you're coming from. At the same time, we won't advise people what/when to invest in because everyone has different investment goals and risk profiles. Our channel is to educate our viewers and show them how we personally arrive at an investment decision (based on our research and analysis), so they too can learn how to make more informed decisions for themselves.
