20. 'Speed & Angels', the Documentary (not movie)

I served on the the USS Ranger CV-61 in V-3 as an undesignated airman. My first ship and her last ride. The F-14 was the pinnacle fighter jet which got me to join the Navy. I watched the opening to that movie and was hooked. I knew I could not fly due to eyesight issues but I signed up do happen the day after the first gulf war. I am so happy I was able to sit in a F-14 seat and feel that stick. It fit my hand like a glove. First time ever seeing a carrier qual for pre deployment it broke the number 3 wire. Off angled deck into the water. Hydraulic fluid landed where I was and I stepped two steps away when I saw it come out of a hole in the roof of the hanger bay from the arresting gear. What I am so happy to hear is the love of the Tomcat even today. I am grateful for this KZbin channel.

As one of the voice actors, I was pulling up the script when they started talking about the DCS campaign, that was one of the best all-around experiences I've had making a campaign.

I still have fantastic memories of getting the opportunity to interview Meagan, Jay & Peyton back in 2020 on the Tomcat 50th Anniversary Livestream event Bio, Paco & I did. Still love Speed & Angels (I watch it every now and then, just to refresh my memory & get those warm & fuzzy tomcat feels!) and highly recommend everyone watch it.

I'm a big fan of Speed and Angels documentary but the Speed and Angels dcs campaign is by far the best campaign I've ever played. Its fun to recognize Meagan's voice as Slick/Nugget and of course Paco. Its great when real fighter pilots bring a level of realism to the game, and I hope more do too. Great show everyone!
