What Teddy is saying is essentially true because although Mike Tyson fought these guys hard they didn't have anywhere near his talent and explosiveness. There's a ten year age difference between teddy and mike so "big brother" is more appropriate
@enochbrown81784 жыл бұрын
No, "big brother" is not nearly appropriate because Mike Tyson had the mind of an adolescent way into his 30's. He needed someone like Teddy to guide him into being a man, but Cus D'Amato short-circuited Teddy's influence on him. Too bad for Tyson because Teddy might have kept him out of prison and on the straight and narrow. If I had a kid with Tyson's talent, I would send him straight to Teddy without batting an eyelash.
@obineux62594 жыл бұрын
@@enochbrown8178 if u read about teddy's history u know he was basically an older Tyson at the time. A bad kid who got into a lot of trouble before he was taken in by cus. He was in his early twenties when he began training mike, basically a kid himself without experience
@enochbrown81784 жыл бұрын
@@obineux6259 Whoa, whoa, there buddy. From what I've read, Teddy started training Mike Tyson when Mike was 12. That is a HUGE difference in age at that point in Tyson's life. So, please don't sell the age difference argument. Yes, Teddy got into a lot of trouble before meeting Cus and Mike (by his own admission), but I think Teddy learned from his experiences and was street smart. @@dominickschrute3084 I do not know the exact details. However, if my memory serves me correct he tried it on wth his 13 year old niece, I believe Mike was 15 at the time. So he was also a child too. The point I am making is if you're a man then meet him like a man. Don't use a gun, especially if you say your like his Dad or Brother. It's a cowardly action using a gun on a 15 year old kid.
