I’m finally going to learn Motion. Is it way easier than After Effects?
@slaingirlfound23 күн бұрын
Yes. One of my favorite things about Motion is just about everything you do happens in real time. After Effects is render heavy and can get very complicated. I use both programs for different things. If you want to produce some custom animated graphics Motion is a great place to start. Also you can right click over any plugin thumbnail in Final Cut Pro and open it in Motion to tweak settings or just study how that plugin was created. Happy Editing!!

Yes! I find when ever I have to go back into after effects (which is rare these days) I’m always so frustrated with how clunky everything feels. And like @slaingirlfound said, it’s all real time which is a game changer compared to the slow nature of AE. That said, AE is definitely still more powerful.. but it definitely should be. As it costs more than the price of Motion… Every. Single. Month. 😂 it’s pretty crazy how far above its weight class Motion can punch though. I think Motion is easily Apple’s most underrated app.

@@TheFinalCutBro How could you compare AE / Apple Motion to Davinci Fusion ? Fusion = same as AE or is AE the most powerful one of all 3 ?

Another excellent tutorial. Thank you Dylan. A deep deep dive into rigs would be truly appreciated (on top of your Masterclass training which is brilliant!). Your Motion Masterclass is excellent on so many levels.

Will definitely try and get that one done for you Richard!

Thank you for this tutorial! Question, is there something like the AE´s null object here inside Motion??

How did you highlight those boxes with yellow lines? During intro?
@TheFinalCutBro23 күн бұрын
That’s thru my Pro Zooms plugin! It’s the Pro Focus option.

Is there any API or programmatic way to create Motion files? Instead of just using the software?
@TheFinalCutBro23 күн бұрын
Yes! You’ll want to research FxPlug 4. It’s way above my head, as I’m not a developer. But that’s how you go about it!
