As a parent of soon to be 13 yr old twins I want to pass on to you the best advice I have ever gotten in my life. Get them on the same feeding schedule. Doesn’t matter if one is sleeping and the other wants to eat, wake up the sleeper. If not, all ur doing is feeding babies. Not to mention it will get u a little, very little, extra sleep at night. God bless ur twins cause they are a blessing!!!!!

So true, especially when they get a little older. It’s easier to feed, feed, and then chase, chase, then it is to feed and chase, and feed and chase. One spoon and one bowl. I used to carry baby gates in my car because other people’s idea of baby proofing for one doesn’t cut it for two. When they pick their one up to change, etc. they’re not thinking about a second getting into wires, etc. 😂

Nicely understated at the end there. Growing up, about 50 years ago we lived in an old farmhouse that was, at the time, about the age your house is now. It was a ramshackle place - classic "worst house in the best neighborhood". My dad renovated just about every part of that house down to the studs. Mouse nests, out, insulation in, new wiring in, new plumbing, new major structure in, new concrete in, new heating system in, converted two porches to permanently-indoors, etc. We did bring a contractor in for the kitchen, and honestly they didn't do as good a job as he did on the rest of the house. It's always great to see a down-to-the-studs complete renovation/rehab of an old house.

I'm now 71 and have been doing this type of remodel work on several of my homes. I'm happy to have found you and watched this video with a huge smile remembering my days of designing and remodeling these homes. My first was my childhood home that in 1962 was 125 years and helped my dad take down a wall between two small bedrooms to make a larger one with a walk in closet for mom at age 9. I loved seeing your little helper hammering something with you for visual effect ❤. Everything you did, I've been there too. Being a female, I was always helping my dad while my brother's had other interests. Last home I designed was for an elderly couple with disabilities. I got a crew to help me and they were happy to have a home that finally complied with disabilities code. I've stopped actually doing the physical work myself but, continue to design as a hobby for friends that want to remodel. Your home turned out truly exceptional. First time here and I... As a European, I find this fascinating. Our houses are made of bricks and concrete or whatever it's called in English and there is no way you can just cut a hole in your wall to install a new electricity plug or hide cables. Congrats on that amazing work, the precision always blows me away. If I started anything on an unlevel floor or ceiling it would just end up even less leveled 😂

New sub here. Congrats on the TWINS and this video! Great job! Our middle son had twins (boy & girl) last summer, to give him a family of two girls and three boys. Yeah, major plot twist for them, too! I totally understood your statement about making your home the best you could make it and closing off the new third bedroom to help keep the dust down. We've been renovating our 124 year old house in stages since 2015 without going into debt. There's been loads of surprises along the way including a scary hidden fire hazard in the kitchen reno ceiling, foundations and roof peculiarities, and the blessing of double exterior wall sheathing which probably helped keep the house upright thru the years! My favorite reno so far is opening up an ugly, enclosed porch and restoring it to it's former Victorian glory. Wishing you and yours all the best in 2024!

I'm so envious of renovations on timber framed homes as both demo and construction are so much quicker and cleaner. You did a great job.
