This video will show you how to replace the cracked screen on your Apple Watch series 3. This is a similar repair to fixing series 2. This is an easy job but please watch the entire video before attempting repair.

Best video so for removing and re-installing screen cables. Much harder than it looks! took me 2 hours most recently and several failed attempts over 1/2 a year. The screen kept popping off after a few days so I bought a 10 pack of adhesives. You'll likely notice the adhesive is slightly smaller so doesn't perfectly cover the corners. Another thing is you need 2 adhesives: 1) watch body to force touch gasket and another to bond the screen to the gasket. You probably need to replace both gaskets at once otherwise the older one will fail. In the end, I have lost all confidence in my watch being water proof lol. Another unexpected observation is that the blackness of the glass can be scratched off from the inside, leaving clear glass, so don't scratch it while cleaning adhesive! To replace the adhesive under the force touch gasket you will need to unplug the force touch gasket connector (which is next to the batter connector), otherwise it will be logistically impossible to do.

Not sure where he got his parts from but a good place to get a screen is if you go on like eBay or sometning and buy the same model watch you have (example. Series 3 42mm gps+LTE) that is for parts or not working make sure the screen is in good condition and if it is you can remove it and use it for way cheaper. Option two is buying a brand new screen for your watch which will cost around 100-150$ depending on what watch you have. The most reputable company I’ve found is Ifixit.com they have just about anything you need and even have tool kits for the watch disassembly. They even have guides on their website and KZbin tutorial instructions. You might want to consider buying your own adhesive for re-sealing the watch as a lot of these watch adhesive strips are pretty cheap if you decide to do that a good option is E-8000 glue for electronics and jewelry works great, good luck!

You can change just the glass as I do all the time. But it is a very involved process, much easier to just buy a good quality used original Apple part from a reputable local eBay seller. Buy the complete assembly....

I’ve found that buying a parts watch is best. You can get a locked device pretty cheap, cheaper than a new aftermarket screen. This way you will have an original Apple part.

Hi, this is a random person! I think that you might have internally damaged some screen chips, causing parts of the screen to not work. It’s highly unlikely that this is a touchscreen defect, and replacing a chip is difficult.

Not an issue, you can get the gasket with doubled sided adhesive pre installed. Gasket is easy to remove and costs less than $10

There is a small metal bracket that is in a slightly different location on the screen itself, it makes contact with another bracket (in a slightly different location as well on the watch itself). This is the Bluetooth antenna and if no contact is made Bluetooth mag not work.

Yes force touch will be functional, make sure to get good quality replacement screen. I like to use mint condition used screen from old watches.

How waterproof is watch after this intervention? Second question would be, if there is a small crack, and touch is working, what to use to seal that crack so I might avoid screen change?

Not waterproof using this technique as the all the double sided tape out there does not hold under water. To seal a cracked look into using a LOCA glue, requires uv light to cure. I do have a technique to repair and retain waterproofing, will upload that video shortly.

All the double sided tape adhesive out there does not bond strong enough to be water tight, look for a liquid adhesive.

The replacement digitizer is likely faulty, check make sure the flex cables coming from the watch logic board are not cut/damaged in any way. If not then return the screen for a replacement. I try to buy used in very good condition from reputable sellers on eBay

Sorry, but it’s useless as the price of of the assembled display module is the same as a second hand watch. In case when the LCD is in working condition will be cheaper to replace the glass only. It took me 4 hours without any special instruments and costed me 27 euro

The Fix I’ll explain the whole story! My whole screen lifted completely up one day and the touch screen was still showing me the display apps etc Then I decided to ship it to Apple through a store called Simply Mac to see if it was qualified for a free fix program from Apple and when it was denied and sent back to me,there was no longer any response being shown on my screen at all! I bought a new screen GPS LTE version from eBay and I was hooking it up just like this video and still nothing would show up on the screen that I purchased! Hard reset didn’t work either. I know the watch was on and charged too because it would vibrate and make the “bing” sound when I would sit it on the charger. Now I’m just over it and returning the purchased screen for a full refund to the eBay seller. I wanted to fix my series 3 for cheap and resell it and make a profit from it since I purchased a new series 5. Very disappointing...
