Angstrem Levi is just lost in the memories of all the various versions of himself. And in most of those versions, Mark sided with his father. So he has a majority of memories telling him Mark is evil, a small amount where he's not, and his original memories are just somewhere in the mix. That's 1000 versions of himself that he's mixed with. I think that Mark's paralyzing Eve could be seen as how the Viltrumites treat their conquered worlds. They make them powerless and then take care of them. Naturally, they'll eventually run out of resources and be disposed of, but yeah.

The confusing memories of evil Marks together with "My plan didn't work because invincible appeared" And fuck, I didn't thought about the parallel between Eve and the Viltrumite worlds, that's amazing, and very fucked up. Does the VIltrumites dispose the worlds though? I even read the comics, but don't remember anything about that.

Shark in the comics Bullet Proof was present at the Machine Head raid and got gravely injured instead of Monster Girl. I’ll be curious to see how him getting introduced later changes things.

FS over here doing the thing I waited the whole episode to do in his intro. Allen the Alien is the orange cyclops. some changes from comic to animation: Season 1: Robot isn't in his new body until after Omniman leaves the planet. Bulletproof was introduced before the Machine head raid and was also messed up in the raid like everyone else, now he's introduced for the GG reform. Season 2: Cecil never made mark wait for his head to stop spinning and had Mark work for him right away. I'm sure there will be more changes going forward just to make things flow better in animated form.

Yup, meet Angstrom Levy, Invincible's arch nemesis. Batman has Joker, Superman has Lex Luthor, and Invincible has Angstrom Levy. I love the show version of Angstrom more than the comic version already, in the Comic he only seemed to hate Invincible for turning him into a big brain, while in the show he has nearly a thousand lifetimes worth of Invincible being the evilest bastard around.

@@drewpaupanekis4710 While yes there is an infinite number of universes not all Infinities are created equal. if you flip a coin infinity time you will end up landing on heads and Tails infinity times, however if you do that you will also come across the statistically unlikely scenario where the coin will land on its edge instead of on heads or tails infinity times. While yes it's still infinity it would still be far less numerous than the other two scenarios. Putting it another way, finding a universe with a good Invincible is like finding a universe with a good Joker, it's much rarer.

IIRC, in comics this guy was actually a cyborg; he had an accident and they gave him an artificial body. But, and this is the important part, THEY NEVER TOLD HIM. They erased the accident from his memory and let him believe that he is just a normal human. I think that they changed his story in the series so it was not some accident prior to the story, it was his encounter with Omniman that led to giving him a new body. And he's still working for Cecil as if nothing happened to him because as far as he's concerned, nothing DID.

Ddin't see that coming with how he was introduced, but I really like Rex now. I mean, he already was pretty chill at the end of season one, only got (righteously) pissed at being "cloned". Here he tried to encourage Mark and his jabs were only against Immortal and Bulletproof. I don't really mind, since I'm not a big fan of either. Also, Amber is a cool supportive girlfriend. And it is just me, or she's prettier now than she was in season one? If they trying to make her likeable, it's working.

I love this episode and Invincible as a whole, but I'll be honest, the second part of the episode was hard to watch with Angstrom's origin story. His plan was so full of holes, bad, illogical decisions and unnecessary risks that it just ruins the villain for me. The fact that he had the Maulers collect what they needed for the machine IN THE SAME DIMENSION that he rescued them from, instead of either sending his dopplegangers or using another dimension for shopping or as a hideout. Also, how is it that he couldn't find Maulers who were good geniuses. He says "Trust me, I've looked everywhere.", but that feels like a weak excuse from the writer to make this work the way he wants. Angstrom's whole speech was about how every problem we have was solved in another dimension, but suddenly: Sorry, this one problem has no solution, I've looked." I know this sounds nitpicky, but my main problem is that every time I'll see Angstrom now, my first thought will be how unnecessary, easily avoidable and forced his whole existence is.
