One of the best things about X-Plane is that it doesn’t use Windows registry to run anything. You can copy the whole X-Plane folder to another drive and it would work perfectly. (since it is developed on MacOS). I’ve been using X-Plane since 2007 and MS flight simulator since 1988.

i use the headshake addon. it add a good amount of realism and feedback on how the airplane behaves. i especially love the head tilt when taxing.

other than the arrow keys, you can also use (.)period and (,)comma to move your view forward and backward in the seat

This is a very good quick overview of x-plane 12. Unfortunately, it was very fast. Also, rather than say "you can do..." it would be great if you could show how to: "To setup a replay, go to (menu etc..). For those who are new, this would be really great! Don't worry about the length of the video. For those who want to learn, the more details, the better! So, take some of the subjects you covered and go into some depth with "How to..." Thanks

When downloading the airplane, throw the file into the aircraft folder and load into the sim

Same concept but it's called FacetrackNoIR. You can use your webcam, or phone and it will follow your face as it moves. I've been using it for many years now for head tracking. Works in every sim i've ever tried.

Yeah it’s pretty much the same just new images on the Home Screen. I guess if it’s not broken don’t fix it? What is new is the physics we’re overhauled, much better lighting and atmosphere, seasons, weather.

I made the opposite. Was disappointed with MSFS and have deinstalled it. XP12 is much better imo.

@kamicj3522it’s… all about preferences… we aren’t giving it too much credit, we just like it more than Xplane, that simple… I personally like MSFS and Xplane equally.
