I think anyone who gardens, whether a professional or not, do get rather comfortable in their working clothes. On the few occasions I do go out, I find it very difficult to "dress up".

You are like me when gardening as to what we wear, surprised people passing don't throw coins at me. I know you are a REAL gardener not only due to your knowledge , but also your garb! Oh, I love the Spargrove blouse (gorgeous) with the short Kantha stitched jacket! I like the idea of tucking the blouse in at the back while wearing the jacket. Without the jacket, I'd wear the blouse untucked. There is a fancy little shop on Huron Ave, Cambridge, MS, USA, that has handmade clothing for women. I bet I could go try on similar-type jackets there. I'm going to splurge on something nice for the coming holidays. I've been purging my closet and keeping only the things I've been wearing. That has left me with few items for special occasions and an overload of gardening clothing. I'm inspired!

My favourite was the dress that looked amazing on you. I know you are not a dress person but it was so beautiful, very flattering and so easy to wear. I think it would be more cooling than a double layer of a shirt and jacket. I could see it being worn on many occasions with different accessories, dressed up or down and in winter with a cardigan. So timeless that it would could be worn for years. Lovely on Christmas Day accessorised with a bit of tinsel 😁

I'm laughing at your scarf, but I wore my favorite jacket in trial last week that is easily 21 or 22 years old. I love a sleeveless blouse and jacket for events. I spent most of my 40s with a metabolic issue that left me sweaty A LOT of the time. It's almost completely gone for about a year. But high key events can still trigger it a bit. I love this and I would love to invest in bespoke clothes.

The dress with the sweater made you look like the "dressed up Fancy Georgie (but still YOU)". And the jacket (patchwork blue fabric) with the TWO blouses you tried on with it are excellent and look like "dressed up but relaxed Business attire Georgie". You are so fortunate to have Sara in your life - "A bit of lipstick ? " He he, just try the lips forget about all of the other stuff. I am not a big make up wearer either, but I do wear a little bit of eye make up and medium toned lipstick when going out. Great video. That dress looks so beautiful on you, and fits you so well - the splashes of colour on it remind me of flowers, so me thinks very appropriate for you, the flower lady. These clothes are just my style and patterns, and I do not "do" clothes! I have really enjoyed this video as you are a real person, and not some glam model, who I could never relate to. You look so smart in these clothes, as they are beautifully made. You want to be comfortable when sitting down, so you enjoy your food, yet look special (and feel special) at the same time. I have bought a few things from a shop that was in a garden center many years ago - I think the label was Chow, or something like that, and these clothes you are trying on, were very like them. Japanese influence maybe - or Indian - but I think the cut of the clothes are so flattering. You looked lovely in every one of those pieces you tried on. Looking gorgeous Georgie and Sarah is so helpful and her prints are gorgeous. I think my favourites were definitely the dress, the print you have your jacket in and the other jacket. The cut if those is lovely. Nips you in at the waist and nice and flowy. Hope you have a wonderful time at the awards lunch. I understand the dilemma as im usually to be found in my gardening clothes or the clothes im wearing i end up gardening in. I once had to go to a Works ball at Grosvenor House Hotel Park Lane so evening do. What a nightmare! Think i had to wear full taffeta in the end. Completely out of my comfort zone 😮 😮😮
