The scriptures are inspired and sufficient for all things dealing with sin, salvation, and the blessed hope. If a pastor is muddled on those things, then he is useless to his congregation. Once those basics are down, then it's all about the daily walk of life, walking faithfully with love and performing good works that bring glory to God.

the video offers a generally helpful discussion about the study and teaching of God's word. it highlights the importance of accurate interpretation, personal application, humility, and acknowledging the complexities of certain theological issues. however, it's important to clarify that interpretation is always involved in understanding scripture, that knowledge is not inherently bad, that "leisure" implies intentional reflection, that application should be sensitive, that the criteria for "theological triage" can be subjective, and that even "plain things" can be subject to varying interpretations. overall, the video encourages a thoughtful and humble approach to studying and teaching religious texts.

As a hireling and bondservant of the Lord we want to know the Word of God, immerse ourselves in Him and learn to know and love Him, then we want to point all believers to Him, so they may know the Word and learn to abide in Him and love Him. In 2 Peter 3:15 is written about Paul writing things that were difficult to understand. It is essential that a pastor be able to delegate leadership and authority to carry out what Jesus taught in Matthew 28:19, 20. Jesus taught and demonstrated Matthew 28:19, 20 by instruction and demonstration. The pastor must also be one who raises up leaders according to 2 Timothy 2:2. A pastor who does not do that is not qualified as a pastor. James 1:22, "But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves." If a pastor is not a doer of the word then he deludes himself. For one to lead in making disciples he must be accountable and transparent. People today are looking for a church led by an authentic and genuine pastor. Pastoring is not just about passing on cognitive information. Teaching information at the cognitive level is the lowest level of teaching. For a pastor to expect people to do what they teach at the cognitive level is like teaching someone to build a bridge at a cognitive level and then at the end of that instruction to trust the person to build a bridge. Who would ever trust that method of bridge building?

New Covenant Whole Gospel: How many modern Christians cannot honestly answer the questions below? Who is the King of Israel in John 1:49? Is the King of Israel now the Head of the Church, and are we His Body? Who is the “son” that is the “heir” to the land in Matthew 21:37-43? Why did God allow the Romans to destroy the Old Covenant temple and the Old Covenant city, about 40 years after His Son fulfilled the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34 in blood at Calvary? What the modern Church needs is a New Covenant Revival (Heb. 9:10) in which members of various denominations are willing to re-examine everything they believe and see if it agrees with the Bible, instead of the traditions of men. We need to be like the Bereans. It will be a battle between our flesh and the Holy Spirit. It will not be easy. If you get mad and upset when someone challenges your man-made Bible doctrines, that is your flesh resisting the truth found in God's Word. Nobody can completely understand the Bible unless they understand the relationship between the Old Covenant given to Moses at Mount Sinai and the New Covenant fulfilled in blood at Calvary. God is not now a “racist”. He has extended His love to all races of people through the New Covenant fulfilled by His Son’s blood at Calvary. The Apostle Paul warned against using “genealogies” in our faith in 1 Tim. 1:4, and Titus 3:9. If the New Covenant is "everlasting" in Hebrews 13:20 and the Old Covenant is "obsolete" in Hebrews 8:13, why would any Christian believe God is going back to the Old Covenant system during a future time period? What brings all local churches together into one Body under the blood of Christ? The answer is found below. Let us now share the Old Testament Gospel found below with the whole world. On the road to Emmaus He said the Old Testament is about Him. He is the very Word of God in John 1:1, 14. Awaken Church to this truth. Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by husband unto them, saith the LORD: Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. Is the most important genealogy in the Bible found in Matthew 1:1 (Gal. 3:16)? Is God's Son the ultimate fulfillment of Israel (John 1:49)? Why has the modern Church done a pitiful job of sharing the Gospel with modern Orthodox Jews? Why would someone tell them they are God's chosen people and then fail to share the Gospel with them? Who is the seed of the woman promised in Genesis 3:15? What did Paul say about Genesis 12:3 in Galatians 3:8, 3:16? Who is the "son" in Psalm 2? Who is the "suffering servant" of Isaiah 53? Who would fulfill the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34? Who would fulfill the timeline of Daniel chapter 9 before the second temple was destroyed? Why have we not heard this simple Old Testament Gospel preached on Christian television in the United States on a regular basis? Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, man-made Bible doctrines fall apart. Let us now learn to preach the whole Gospel until He comes back. The King of Israel is risen from the dead! (John 1:49, Acts 2:36) We are not come to Mount Sinai in Hebrews 12:18. We are come instead to the New Covenant church of Mount Zion and the blood in Hebrews 12:22-24. 1Jn 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. 1Jn 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. 1Jn 3:24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us. The following verses prove the Holy Spirit is the master teacher for those now in the New Covenant. Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. Mar 1:8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost. Joh 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Act 11:16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. 1Co 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. 1Jn 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. I appreciate the discussion, but we don't "have to decide" anything. It is written in God's word. If God is speaking in tongues and doing miracles, then those who deny it deny God. If he is not, and the tongues are not real, not close to what happened in Acts, and there are no verified miracles anywhere, because we have the finished word of God given to us by the Apostles, then God's church, like the saints of old, must reject all fake miracles. They must not be allowed in the assembly. It is no small thing to say, "The Lord said," when he has not said.

@hudsonensz2858 the questions I had where, why did the old Testament Prophets Spoke of God coming in the flesh, Isaiah 9:6, 1 Timothy 3:16 and John or any Apostle mention a trinity once they knew who HE was, my question would be if Jesus says HE has all Power in Heaven and in Earth Matthew 28:18 wouldn't that go against the trinity teaching of co equal co eternal and lean more toward God being omnipresent as in doing all things at once with out having to be separated into three minds? I'm trying to learn
@Unknown.servant
@Unknown.servant 26 күн бұрын
No sir, it would go against the idea that there are 3 entities. But in Christ the fulness of the godhead dwelt bodily. Also, the OT, while not stated explicitly, does show a distinction in God. That is fully revealed in the NT

@MrJimgogo 26 күн бұрын
@Unknown.servant so would that mean 3 distinct persons? but I don't see persons in the Bible, i see manifestations but not persons and how can we say co equal when Jesus has all power? This is what makes the trinity confusing, wouldn't it be easier to say Jesus is the invisible God made visible like the Bible says in Colossians 1:15? Do you have scripture saying persons for me to study? Or entities?

[16] Come ye near unto me, hear ye this; I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, there am I: and now the Lord GOD, and his Spirit, hath sent me. 1. Because you can be a Christian and hold to different views on the millennium but cannot be a Christian and hold to a non-Trinitarian view. 2. Because a "literal" view of Revelation 20 would not result in believing that "Christ will reign on earth from Jerusalem for 1000 years" given that neither Jerusalem or earth are mentioned in the 1000 years of Revelation 20.

Preach better and help your congregations: Teach the Gospel not the Bible. When you teach the Gospel you teach the very necessary parts of the Bible. Bring their identity up and shove it in their face....if you are a believer, NOTHING will separate you from God and salvation through Jesus....that they can't mess up their salvation (which so many don't realize). GIVE THEM JOY AND PEACE IN CHRIST AND CONFIDENCE FOR THE DAY WHEN THE GOATS AND SHEEP ARE SEPARATED.

The problem is is the scripture is misinterpreted by the theologians of today. The Trinity doctrine is “another” doctrine that is no doctrine at all and is to be condemned. Just listening to him talk tells you everything. He does not know the true doctrine of Christ. If he did, he would be a free man. But he isn’t. Chained in his mind to the old man of sin which he doesn’t believe is dead and therefore does not reckon him dead. He is not free, and those who believe him are not free. The blind leading the blind…both in the ditch.

Shocking! This response seems so puffed up with tremendous arrogance and self-assurance..., actually prideful. I know what kind of response I may get back from you, but bring it on, and please let us know, how can the Trinity be error?? Of course, the Trinity is a doctrine, and a solidly biblical doctrine! Christ was killed precisely on the premise that He teaches and asserts that there is more than one person in the God head--that He Himself is also God, together with the one whom He called "Father", whom the Jews believed to be God alone. It is as clear as day that the one who is begotten has to have the very same essence (property, material, fabric, nature) as the one who has begotten him. The term "God" refers to the nature of the person whom Christ called "Father", but since the relationship in the God head had not been revealed until the coming of Christ, the Old Testament used the same terms that translate to "God" to refer only to the person of the Father. But now we know through Christ and His apostles that there's actually three person who have been revealed to be God, and yet that the Father is above them all in rank and glory. John 10:31-39 (NKJV) Then the Jews took up stones again to stone Him. Jesus answered them, "Many good works I have shown you from My Father. For which of those works do you stone Me?" The Jews answered Him, saying, "For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a Man, make Yourself God." Jesus answered them, "Is it not written in your law, 'I said, "You are gods" '? If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken), do you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, 'You are blaspheming,' because I said, 'I am the Son of God'? If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me; but if I do, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, that you may know and believe that the Father is in Me, and I in Him." Therefore they sought again to seize Him, but He escaped out of their hand.

@ I am a servant of the One True God. Arrogance? You are not discerning the spirit within me. You’re mistaking my direct rebuke and authority as an ambassador for Christ. Your own quoting of the scripture betrays your trinity doctrine. Jesus said “son of God” not “God the son”. He never says he is God in that passage. You’re reading into it. Not one scripture says “God the son”. It always says, “son of God”. The scripture also uses the phrase “God the Father” over and over. So…they clearly had that in their language. Why did no one ever record the phrase “God the son”? Because he isn’t. If the trinity is so foundational to the identity of God, they would have clearly said “God the son”. But alas, the church is arrogant thinking it can abandon the laws of language when it feels like it, and they do this all the time to pawn off the perverted story of the trinity. This doctrine has ruined more lives that can be counted. It denies the lord that bought them and troddens under foot the son of man, the Lord Jesus Christ. And the church wonders why people are suffering and leaving the assemblies in droves. One verse destroys the trinity doctrine: John 14:28 “…for My Father is greater than I” Put on the yoke of Christ: ‘meekness’ and ‘humility’ and your eyes will be opened and you will find rest. Something the churches are not finding.

@@gladtidings6020 you're in great error! I plead with you in the name of Christ, listen to me... You have a very wrong approach to the Scriptures, as though they were a mathematical log table. The Bible doesn't have to mention something directly to mean it. You must understand the law of implication. Therefore, anyone who relies solely on it being written, is immature in handling the Word of God. Seek for what the Bible teaches, not merely what it says, sometimes it will not say it directly, even though it actually means it. For instance, the Bible taught about the resurrection of Christ in the Old Testament, yet because it was not obvious, everyone who used proof text approach missed it and therefore nobody expected Christ to die and then to rise up again. Likewise, the divinity of Christ is taught through deeper insights (called great mysteries), which the simple minded person using your kind of approach will obviously miss. Therefore, if Christ is called the "only begotten son of God", this by implication means, that Christ is "God the Son", unless you don't actually understand who a son is or a father is or what to beget is. Notwithstanding, see the following verses which are talking about Christ, outrightly calling Him God. John 1:1-4 (NKJV) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, AND THE WORD WAS GOD. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 1 Timothy 3:16 (NKJV) And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: GOD WAS MANIFESTED IN THE FLESH, Justified in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Preached among the Gentiles, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory. Hebrews 1:8-9 (NKJV) But to the Son He says: "YOUR THRONE, O GOD, IS FOREVER AND EVER; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your Kingdom. You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of gladness more than Your companions.

Apparently, you don't know what an analogy is - elder is due honor just like an ox is due grain and a laborer is due wages. Same chapter, Paul says widows are due honor. If elders are due double honor than widows are due 'single' honor - and we know from your stellar exegesis that honor means a paycheck - why aren't widows in the church paid half what the almighty pastor gets paid?
