Incredible tip not to change/adjust pace targets in a big training block after one workout. I’ve adjusted paces and goals a lot over the years in training. The reality for me is very few workouts go/feel exactly as planned. Some days you feel like a superhero and some days you feel like crap

Completely agree your fitness levels correspond to a sub 2:35! But you are very right your fueling is key. Keep it going like this, and fingers crossed you will stomach that last gel in raceday.

Just need to cross that line knowing I’ve put in a good shift and fuelled well and I’ll be happy 👊

I’d recommend fuelling practise on every run now regardless of distance/time/pace. Even on 5k/10k pace sessions as will really train your gut aggressively and not worry too much if your stomach suffers in training.

I’ve just had a big box of fuel turn up, spent too much money… but ready to practice with it now on most runs… mainly the LR, medium long and sessions too

Morning buddy 👋 thank you, appreciate it. I’m a crap editor and I’m not very flashy, but I’m on the older end of the KZbin runner spectrum so I have less “appeal” I think 😂😂

@@TheFODRunner well you certainly have some of the best and most honest content around, some of us dont go for the glitz and glamour bollocks...prefer honesty and banter.... Fordy cracks me up 🤣 but most of the others bore me. and if leave comments YOU answer and get involved which goes a bloody long way in my book.

Hi Andy, good to see training is going well. Could you remind me which heart rate monitor you use? I think I asked you this question a while back. I’m not a fan of HRM’s, much prefer to listen to my breathing, but now my local running is very hilly I feel that a HRM could confirm my perceived effort level. I have got a chest strap but it can feel uncomfortable sometimes. 👍👍
