Lightstrike pro is probably the most balanced (softness) and most resilient of all foams.

So Strava need a new activity type then - cutting up shoes :) I thought of you yesterday as I was thinking what shoe I shall use for a "controlled" workout and I went for these exact same ones in same colour and size. I got mine when they first came out bit over 2 years ago and used them on and off ever since - now at 263 miles and no snapped rods AFAIK. I recall you snapped your ones probably before then but I can see now why it is not "terminal" as it were. When you snapped them do you think it is was just general wear and tear or did you recall some "event" ? Like you I never took mine into a race but if the Pro 4 is a bit lighter as we have heard then it could well be an option. I just remember when I was trying really hard in medium length intervals the "weight" was a bit more noticeable but, for us, as a super trainer ideal. The Prime X OG version I liked far more than the X2 Strung one but both were at or close to 400g for us and so these are a good 100g less. I haven't worn my Sen 9 for a over a year now either as did not think I was helping my current ankle/Achilles issues. Pro 3 is a lot more stable than it looks. Was fiddly to get the lockdown right early on but, like most shoes, has now moulded to my feet fine.

I picked up the pro 3 at 120 pounds and have put 260km in them over 4 months. I intend to stretch it to 1000km before replacing it. It's that durable.

Hey Kofuzi! Just wanted to say that I think your videos are pretty bad and clearly motivated by sponsorships!

Similar experience for me back in the day with the Pro 2. They seemed almost indestructible. Especially impressive as the rubber looks so thin just visually. But it'a clearly very durable stuff.

I have a pair of Prime X Strung 2's (I think theyre called) and I've done over 400kms and they still look new! On the other hand, my Nike vaporfly 3's have about 150kms on them and are looking much more used.... And a pair of Alphafly 3's that have about 16kms because they hurt my feet. I think I'm done with Nike's

😂😂 Great video Andy. I had a pair of the adios pro 3's, I absolutely loved them for sessions and long runs. I broke at least one rod in them before finally wearing them out

Mine have 1663km by the time I'm typing this, still using them all the time except to compete. I've yet to find a more durable shoe.

Great vid. I had a similar experience with the VF3. I ran 800+ kms, the last 50 kms or so, my shin kind of started to hurt and thats when i retired them. My Pro 3 is just about 80kms old, hoping to get another 500 kms. This vid is a great answer to people who claim the Pro 3 may last just about a 100 miles or nearabouts.

Thanks Andy, an honest day's work there at the end🤣. I have the Prime-x strung and at 300km they are like brand new. Only thing, it took 200km for the huge amount of lightstrike pro to soften a little bit and become less unstable (the first 100km were a balancing act). If your running form allows you to run in them, they'll last a 1000 miles. And I'm not exaggerating.

I've just hit 300 miles in my pair, still feel great. Love the midsole, but i always get horrendous lace-bite, which sucks. I'm a huge fan of the Pro 2, too. Can't wait for the Pro 4. 💪🏃♂️
@mikedavies74927 сағат бұрын
Change the laces mun 🤣. I relaxed mine so only use alternate eyelets and runners knit them one eyelet early as have a high instep that they were garrotting. Worked a treat. Secure and comfy now.
@jamescutlan46812 сағат бұрын
That's impressive. Hopefully the PRO 4 update will provide a better feel in terms of the upper fit. Found problems with the lacing system.

Super cool viddie, thx. I am on my 3rd pair of AP3s and love them. Would be funny to see how bad a pair of Nike Alpha Flys looks like at 500miles

Nice review man! I own these shoes but they are my only super shoe. I use them for jogging / faster pace runs too. One day would like to try a half marathon or maybe even my first full marathon. Just wondering, will you be getting the new adidas adios pro 4?? Do you think those would be better for you for going for a pb for the marathon? Keen to see how they compare to the ASICS meta speed sky Paris

I’m thinking it’s the rides that help the underneath support last longer than a plate because I’m plates done it’s done, but the rods rod can take over maybe like a semi truck in the back with all the tires. Sure
@nickedwards144512 сағат бұрын
My favourite shoe and on my fourth pair. Only issue as a heavy heal striker the rubber tends to wear much quicker. Also how can you tell when the rods have snapped as this is the first time I have heard about this.

I do wonder if the AP4 will be less stable and less durable. I think likewise to look for AP3 on the cheap over the coming months prior to the AP4 release
@kmchow98chow1510 сағат бұрын
@@yoyoyoyoyo1984 If you equate stability to foam firmness and heel stability, I would think the AP3 will be more stable. But given most influencers are young and be trying to hype up the AP4 now, you should wait for at least a 100mile review.

Why bother mechanically cutting them at all? Why not trying to dissolve the midsole with chemicals, acids? Ask some chemistry folks and they'd surely help you out
