HUGE THANKS to ExpressVPN for offering all Food Ranger viewers 3 months free and 49% off their yearly package using this link: ExpressVPN.com/Thefoodranger . Travelers need ExpressVPN to stay safe online and to unblock any site. I personally use it for Netflix, even while at home in Canada, but also while traveling to unblock content and episodes that are geoblocked, and I also use it for security, because airport wifi and hotel wifi is often very insecure, leaving my data vulnerable. By connecting to one of their servers around the world, it’s just like my computer or phone is in that location, and all data sent while connected to their VPN is secure, safe, and private from others to see, so I know that my data won’t be hacked or looked at by others. Thanks so much for watching, and we have tons more videos coming up for you! Please leave me a comment below letting me know what you thought about this episode, thanks so much!!!

We are loving your show and have become a regular watcher now. Even my grandmother who has Alzheimers and can not understand a word nor read the subtitles, now looks forward to seeing the show (and that is so huge for us, thank you!!). Every few seconds or so she says 'so Colourful!' oh 'he looks so happy!' 'Doesn't this make you want to travel there?' and this from a women who never leaves the house and has gone from the most incredible Native Indian cook and best Chili sauce around to having to coax her from just eating ice cream. Keep up the good work and the amazing travel food logging!!

Disheartened to see so many hatred comment against India and its cleanliness. We are not living by choice, it's the infrastructure problem and we are trying hard to improve it. We happily live with harmony having diverse culture and religions. Try to appreciate some good parts rather commenting with biased view. Your hatred comments may not necessarily improve Indians, your kindness and love definitely spreads positivity in us.

@suragshastry71927 жыл бұрын
Jarren Ong I think every Indian is aware of the existing problems. The problem arises when a whole bunch of idiots post nasty comments sitting behind their computers so some Indians have no choice but to get on the defensive. This comment box in particular is nasty as hell. I suppose KZbin gives them that privelage but there's no reason to unleash your hatred on a group of people just because you dint like something. We are working hard to improve the standards in our country in every aspect. Remember that some countries like China were in a similar developing phase not too long ago.
@jarenong7 жыл бұрын
Well of course. But Indians have drawn the ire of many people by posting comments like "INDIA SUPERPOWER 2020" Is that called for? Why are Indians the only ones posting such comments? Do they have an inferiority complex? Are they so arrogant???? Which is why i said very rare to see an indian admit to anything wrong with their country.

I am your long-time subscriber and I have observed that a majority of your Indian videos had the most 9s and 10s ranges of awesome food.. loved it... and thanks for visiting my City of Hyderabad as well, it was one of the best tours you had.. our food is neither bland nor too much spicy, it is perfectly full of balanced flavors. Here in Canada, I am missing my country's food damn so much, here everything is bland and tasteless and just raw boiled meat with salt and pepper being served by various names of various countries.. haha

Sure I will as I am a huge foodie... after seeing Trevor's video of Nasi Padang and chicken satay in Indonesia, I did try it in Canada, but it was sweet.. may be just like the 90% dishes here which are with hint of sweetness like honey chicken, etc, many other cuisines are modified to the tastebuds of north americans... To the extent, the indian food i tried here in many indian eateries in British Columbia is not authentic indian as well, I will save some money and open up an authentic Hyderabadi restaurant in the future, then the masses will see and taste how flavorful food needs to be and will agree with me that food is not meant just to be gulped up for producing energy to work.. haha
@catatankami43597 жыл бұрын

Reading comments on Indian Street food videos, I have come to a conclusion that there are two types of people who watch Indian street food videos- 1. People who are just there to comment all about hygiene. No matter how much the cook/chef cover himself up and follow hygiene standards, if he is Indian, they will find some or other fault and start blabbering about hygiene. 2. People who truly enjoy watching street food videos.
@Fishfingers2327 жыл бұрын
It's not because they're Indian, it's because it genuinely seems dirtier than other places. Go look at Trevor's Vietnam/Thailand/Indonesian trips, street food vendors in those places are much more hygienic so noone complains about cleanliness on those videos.

I'm not from India but i honestly don't care about the cleanliness level here. It may not be super hygienic but it sure seems good to eat. It's just that the infrastructures and utensils look a bit old and stained. Wearing gloves doesn't change anything if u scratch ur butt with the glove on. Hands are fine as long as they r clean. The food looks absolutely gorgeous btw Cheers

@priyankakumar63196 жыл бұрын
Came to the comments to see if a Kolkata resident was going to point this out! Trevor, I think the tang you felt was also because of the fresh mustard oil that is added to it (that's the golden stuff in the bottle that he chucked in before he added the coconut. It's deadly stuff. Also, Jhal Muri literally means spicy puffed rice :)

bruceownsu I understand. But the point is, should we take our standard to criticise another culture. I’m sure they live in totally different circumstance. We can’t expect that they have everything as we do, when people struggle so hard to get rid of poverty and try to survive every single day.

bruceownsu Your myopic, narrow minded view of a society which you have no experience of is reflected directly by your inability to understand why this is the way it is. India has a fundamental problem with its infrastructure and therefore her people are suffering. Yet despite all of this, the calamity and the difficulty, they still follow their passion and have some of the most amazing food in the world. You don’t have standards, you’re an entitled brat.

@@inhalesbleach3071 India is a very diverse country. One mistake most foreigners do is to think Hindi is our national language, which is clearly not. So, in most Hindi speaking regions, it's called Bhelpuri. However, Kolkata is in the state of West Bengal, which speaks Bengali. Hence, in Bengali it's called "Jhal muri". Jhal means spicy and muri is the puffed rice. Hope I helped. Take love....
