I have the vinyl roll down shutters and the are breaking inside the track. I was told they are not made anymore. Any suggestions? I have different size windows. I have the same pulley strap box you do that fits on the wall. The strap is no longer feeding back into the box when the shutter is pullled up. Can the silver lever that is coming from the top of the box be repaired. I was told the boxes cannot be repaired but I repaired my hand crank box.

Good job. I have shutters on a building i purchased. The lines all dry rotted and broke. The strange part is that there is no name on them. To get a fix on parts or repair information. Any suggestions. Respectfully E 216

I managed to buy replacement rollers but they were second hand, ordered off ebay from Australia. Couldn't find equivalent shutters in Europe or North America, for some reason. Before ordering anything, however, check the tape width as they do vary.

My old ones were made by Hunter Douglas but no idea if they still sell them.

I dont prefer this big rollers to be with rope i sugest this to be with motors or stick because its so hqvy to pull qll this thats why its broken or do aluminium blinds becauae plastic one is very heavy

Can the base be placed within the structure of the house? Can the base be broken down or broken into making it easy for an intruder to pull the shutters up and break into the house?

Lucky you were able to repair by replacing the damaged plastic spool wheel for a new one even if it was smaller in diameter lol. The LH side where it was cracked on the outer housing, shame you Couldn't fabricate a small metal plate or something so you could re strengthen that side

I think they were intended as security shutters so mostly only found on ground floors.

I have the electric ones. I regret not getting just the manual cranks. Nothing but problems, and the company who installed them overcharge for everything because they are the only ones who can get the parts. Do not buy electric ones. Ever!
