I feel like I needed to hear this. I haven’t been going to church in over 6 months. I’ve been going through sermons at home, but haven’t been present with the body of Christ. Thank you for your encouragement!

@@MichaelUnks I hear you brother I've been missing a lot of days at church as well I really should attend every week. Anyways if your interested at all in church history I'd recommend Ryan Reeves on KZbin. They're honestly the best I can find. If your looking for an easy book you can pick up and put down at any time I'd recommend the sayings of the desert father's which is kind of like proverbs but different. Just stories of wise sayings and actions of some of the first Christian monks. www.goodreads.com/work/quotes/218708-the-desert-fathers-sayings-of-the-early-christian-monks-penguin-classi

Hey Mike have you read the book of sirach? It's like proverbs and it's personally one of my favourite books of the Bible. It has a bit of a softer tone to it kind of like Ecclesiastes in my opinion

Sirach? I’ve never heard of it. It’s in the Bible?
@DEADPOETOFFICIAL3 жыл бұрын
@@MichaelUnks yes it's in the catholic and orthodox Bible and recognised by them as inspired. By some other denominations it's considered apocryphal or to be one of the additional books. Whether or not you view them as canonical (which most Christians do worldwide and historically), they are included in the Septuagint which is the Greek translation of the Hebrew texts from before even the time of Christ, which even Christ himself quotes in some of his quotations from the old testament. It's filled with great wisdom I'm sure you would appreciate. Hope you're doing well buddy

@@DEADPOETOFFICIAL I've been reading Proverbs every day this month. Really been helping me ground. Always feel enlightened after reading it a few times in different versions. Sirach? Looks like it was removed from the Bible in the 1800s by the Pentecostals. Looks like it was removed because it was not written in Hebrew. But since then they found parts of tablets of it written in Hebrew. Michael how you doing old pal? Love the video. Thanks. God is good/Love and bigger than we'll ever know. I do believe the holy Spirit told me that the week I was saved over 20 years ago. 🙏🥲

Hey! It’s been awhile and I even thought about you the other day when I was glancing at comments of older videos and how you always seemed to offer encouragement and support! I’ve been going through 5-6 books a month and have been learning a lot. What is new with you?

I appreciate that! You may want to look on Instagram since I have over 200 one minute videos on there and don’t really post them on KZbin anymore.

I wonder that too. I think because my channel isn’t focused there’s a a good number of people who subscribed for certain videos...like science related...humorous...book reviews..so my typical subscriber isn’t in to all my content. I’m not sure, that is my guess.
