I am back after a little break with this history video about the Ottomans. From the migration of Turkic tribes to Anatolia and the collapse of Byzantium to the foundation of the modern State of Turkey in the XXth century, you are invited to travel through the centuries, relax, and maybe learn a couple of things. I hope you enjoy!

Byzantine history is actually just a part of Roman history. So thats why its so "undervalued". The masses like the early times of the Roman history more than they do the late period.

yeah byzantine was one of the best empires in history they had great buildings, gardens, sculptures. After crusades in 12th century latins looted constantinople and burnt it. after that we took it :D i think we destroyed most of the sculptures (sadly) i dont know if we destroyed them or someone else but there was amazing sculptures in constantinople it is odd we destroyed because it is believed to be haram. we didn't harm the buildings but we didn't care about them we leaved them and that amazing city started to rot. I hope you guys visit istanbul one day before it fade away. all i want to say is they were great they treated constantinople like she deserves. wish we did care about byzantian empires remainings. i would like to see huge hipodroms while i am driving to work.

Thank you for posting another video! On an unrelated note, I enjoy what some consider harsher spirits, straight. Could you recommend a good starter cognac? I've never tried brandy of any type but I've always enjoyed the look of it's warm tone. Thanks again for the videos.
@TheFrenchWhispererASMR10 жыл бұрын
Rodney Brown Thanks. Regarding cognac, the brand is less important than the quality (VSOP, XO...) that all cognac makers indicate on their bottles and that depends on aging. The oldest, the most expensive, and theoretically the best. As a starter, I would recommend the VSOP quality, which is fine for degustation and corresponds to an intermediate quality. You have to be an expert to distinguish them, which I am not: I would be unable to tell the difference between an XO and a VSOP, and the former is 4 times more expensive! A more original and less-known brandy to discover is Armagnac, which comes from a different region and may be less standardized than the cognac produced by the 3 or 4 houses that control most of the cognac production.

@TheFrenchWhispererASMR10 жыл бұрын
Ragerian I would have to listen again, maybe that was clumsy - I meant that the concept and the term of genocide were elaborated at the beginning of the 20th century, for a large part due to what happened with the Armenians. I am not questioning the reality of massacres leading to the eradication of an entire population before that, if that is your question.
