Your such an inspiration Mary. My sister was in an accident and can no longer feel from her knees down. She and I were watching your blogs while she was still in the hospital and she said that if you can do this she could try walking during pt. She took her first step the next day. Thank you for your inspiration.

Can I just say that as a nursing major, I really like being able to watch these videos and hear what is happening to you so I can apply what I am learning to an actual person that is going through it. Not that that is the main reason I enjoy the videos at all, but it is nice to have a human connection to things that I am learning in school.

Glad to see you're doing better! One step at a time, one day at a time. It's great that Peter can stay there with you around the clock. You both are very fortunate that Peter's job as a minister allows him to spend everyday with you, Mary, except for running personal errands and doing the service on Sunday mornings! I recognize that Peter puts a lot into his ministry, but he seems to have a fairly liberal schedule. Most are not so lucky--in addition to providing exhausting care to their loved ones who are ill, spouses and care-givers have to also go out to a not-so-forgiving job everyday, many working shifts and weekends, or whatever it takes to provide. I'm happy that Peter is able to be available to you pretty well 24/7. Not many have that. And he does it well! Your chronic illness is a difficult challenge, but it's wonderful that you two are lucky enough to be able to tackle it together, and your teamwork is beautiful! God bless you both, and all those who's struggles are just as difficult, or even more so.

I just stumbled upon your channel several days ago and all I can say is that I'm completely hooked! I've been watching all of your older blogs and you guys are amazing and uplifting. Personally I have had 43 brain surgeries in the past 10 years due to Intracranial Hypertension. I have a shunt in my brain that likes to be difficult and fail. I've spent so much time in the hospital that I can totally relate to you; I've had meningitis at least 10 times and multiple brain bleeds. Ollie is adorable. I have 2 poodles and although they aren't service animals they are the closest thing I have to children. I'm praying that you continue to improve after your recent surgery and are able to get back home soon!

Oh my goodness the first minute of the vlog is literally me on a daily basis. Laying on my side, face exactly the same, and shaking my legs or rubbing them together (I call it cricket legs) or just rocking my entire body back and forth when the pain gets bad. I'm so happy your pain got a bit better through the day, I know those long nights are hard (I had one last night and pretty much every night this week 😣). Things will get better and I'm so thankful you've got the different pain management tools and your doctors are working with you on getting better 💖 sending you gentle hugs and spoons 🥄

Mary, have Peter check to see if you all have Annie's Homegrown products in your area. I know Costco carries them but many organic stores also carry them. Everything is shaped like a bunny. They have Bunny Grahams in a bunch of flavors including cheese, chocolate, honey, and chocolate chip. They also have fruit snacks that don't get super tough to chew but rather stay fresh tasting like real fruit. I buy the big boxes at Costco so I can be stocked for the whole month. There are lots of other Annie's Homegrown products as well. All organic. Just thought I would give you the suggestion for future hospital stays or even at home.

I had 2 heart attacks 8 yrs ago when I was 45. Heart disease runs in my dad side of the family. When I had my 1st heart attack (which I was 100% blocked and the doctor couldn't understand why I didn't just drop dead.) My mom kept asking the ambulance people if I was having a heart attack and they kept saying she is having a cardio infarction. She was a nurse but I think she was in shock. I was very very fit. I eat healthy. I walked 3 miles every day, sometimes more. But I couldnt escape hereditary heart disease and cholesterol. I had a pump in my heart to let it rest for 3 days. I had to lay flat on my back because the line was still in me running to my heart working the pump. 5 days after my 1st heart attack I had another one and needed 2 more stints for a total of 4. I know how hard and life changing chronic illness is. All that damaged my heart a great deal and I can not do most things I used to do. I had a lot of depression at first but then I made myself get up and start living life again! Now I work fulltime and I've learned how to do what I need to do in different ways! My mom had muscular dystrophy and taught me how a positive attitude and the mind set to do what you have do no matter what gets you through the pain and exhaustion! Watching your videos and seeing how hard you fight and how positive you are is very inspiring! I love seeing how much you three are ment to be together. You guys always your like everyone else but your not. You guys are special people! My mom was a rare person to. She was the most loving caring selfless person I ever ment! And you guys seem the same! Keep on fighting the good fight and never give up! The world needs people like you!

My son had 2 surgeries on his as they ruptured so at 2 day old he had a colostomy bag for 3 months then they put them back together. They said its painful while they start working properly he took 3 days to be pain free but babies don't move and heal faster. So adult take longer xxx
