We stayed at universal and spent one day at Hollywood studios - if you're doing the same and have limited time there, I'd recommend getting the lightning pass for rise of the resistance, runaway railway and slinky or be prepared to wait a very long time to get on them. A good tip for Fantasmic is to get one of the dinner / show combo deals. We ate at the sc-fi dine in theatre and got reserved seats in the middle section for fantasmic.

Hi Frugal, I love your videos. We watched them in 2022 for our, then, Florida trip. We’re watching again in prep for our planned holiday in 2026. Keep em’ coming! Just a note on visiting Animal Kingdom later in the day. I did re-enter the park shortly before closing during our visit in August 2022. I just wanted some semi-night time shots in Pandora expecting to be kicked out. I ended up being there well after it had gone dark and the cast members weren’t making an effort to move guests out when I left (around 7ish). This may have changed but perhaps there is some leniency for anyone already in the park after the official closing time.

I was able to do it in 2022 as the parks closed on average around an hour later than compared to this year (I think). I tried doing it in July this year, got on one of the last rides for flight of passage…saw lots of people were hiding at the exit to stay as late as possible. I managed to get some good twilight shots, but wasn’t quite nighttime. I think it’ll be back in a year or two though fingers crossed. Thanks for watching!

Back in June 2022 I did manage to stay until after 8pm on Animal Kingdom, and nobody cared to rush me and my family out. We got to experience amazing views, and I hope they extend hours again, because it’s unmissable

Fantastic, as always! Heading to HS on Saturday and this is my hype. Definitely hitting runaway railway first. I did that last time and walked right on, then walked on to Toy Story Mania which I arguably prefer to Slinky Dog.

Another wonderful video, just got back from Disney after a week of fun in sun, you are absolutely right about those LL passes there a waste of money we found that wait times were inflated and many of the rides almost walk ons.Except the big attractions like 7Dwarfs, flight of passage, expedition everest. The rest no more than 30 minutes.

Just got back from Orlando a couple of days ago, had the most magical time of my life. The only downside actually made it better, because loads of rides were breaking down while we we were on or in the queue for them, we received quite a few fast passes.

Sort of a mixture of the two. I’ll usually have a spreadsheet or notes document to plan out each day. Less crucial these days though now that the reservations system is gone.

When we visit WDW we tend to go the last 2 weeks of the UK summer holidays, we've never as of yet (🤞) had to deal with massive queues, most seem quite reasonable bar the exception of SDMT which I agree, is not worth the wait, Slinky Dog is much better! FOP is always a long queue but a fantastic ride. Never stayed in a Disney resort hotel either and we've managed to get on all rides without the use of LL purchases! The only issue that time of year visiting is the weather. These are fab tips and we always go against the grain and I find it makes our vacation more enjoyable!

I think the reason why the times you mentioned are good times to go is because I believe Florida schools are back in session by September and are out by summer. I live in the US myself.

@@bubbleygirl I used a combo of gps hacker on android, and vpn to make it work. It took me a while to find a US vpn location to work though, so requires a bit of trial and error.

I will honestly never understand the insane level of love for Peter Pans Flight…I went on the ride multiple times a year at Disneyland throughout the 90’s and, while a good dark ride, it wasn’t in my Top 3 for Disney dark rides in California (I prefer Alice in Wonderland, Mr Toad and even Mike and Sulley to the Rescue at DCA)…

It's not that it's more popular than others. It's all about the ride capacity. Peter Pan can only get through about 800 riders an hour. For comparison, Pirates can do 2600. So if a thousand people go straight into Pirates at the same time, the thousandth person is waiting 20 or so minutes. But if that same scenario happens with Peter Pan, the thousandth person is waiting well over an hour. So if Pirates has only a 20-minute wait all day and Pan has a 60-minute wait all day, it sounds weird, but that means Pirates was more popular that day.

It’s not about the love, it’s the capacity. People flock to it because it has one of the worst capacities in the park, so people feel compelled to ride it knowing this fact.

@@DebbieGranger-Bevan love to hear that thank you! Yes the situation for UK visitors is a bit of a mess at the moment. I think you need a combination of some sort of GPS hacking tool for your phone (android only) and a vpn service (although may not need the latter). I’ve ordered myself an android phone this week so I can do it 😐. I believe there’s some legal issue with people purchasing it in advance from Europe which is causing problem. It seems unfair that Disney has chanced the system to the detriment of UK customers after I’ve booked the trip…if I had the time I’d be calling them to request some money off or something.

Would be interested to hear if it works! I have an iPhone and can get through to the lightning lane purchase screen on the app by turning off location services on my phone and changing my country of residence in the app to the US but I know others have got stuck at that stage and I don’t have a trip booked yet to see if I can actually get through to purchase! Hopefully they sort it out soon.

This is pretty typical for early entry at magic kingdom (when aiming for seven dwarfs mine train). This is not so common elsewhere. Disney announced earlier today that Tron will lose its virtual queue so hopefully this will split the crowds at early entry.

Why do you say "you can't do reverse rope drop" for SDMT? Do the lines stay awful right up until park closing? Or did you mean to say "if you can't do reverse rope drop...."
