If robots become sentinant, why do people assume they would want to be identified as human?

It's great we can do this tech but I question why do it, example how many people will be put out of a job (self driving Taxi/ trucks etc) and Human shape robots is just Creepy and un necessary.

Love the show, but movies do not predict the future of good tech. They inspire young inventors to create what was once sci-fi.
