It's hard to sympathize with her, despite knowing she is just another victim, when her actions are causing just as much suffering as she's experienced herself. If I see her as the unavoidable result of Piltovers neglection of Zauns problems and Zauns own disregard for itself, in that case I can sympathize with her, but then she goes and makes things worse simply because she can't do what Vi asked her back when she qs a child, just stay home and wait for her.
@apache61112 жыл бұрын
It's true, but we have to consider that she was raised by a psycopath, he loved her more than anything in the world sure, but never properly stood as a parental figure through her childhood helping her to deal with her traumas and overcome what happened just as he did with Vander's situation, and when he tried to, it was too late. And about what Vi asked, well, I honestly put myself in her shoes, if I know my sister and family are going into a suicide mission, I couldn't handle the impotence of not knowing if they would ever come back, in this case what she did would be as bad as not doing anything. Sometimes the best intentions lead to bad outcomes. With all this I'm not saying that all her actions are justified, but are the logical response to others actions, cause and effect.

The fact that this imperfect live performance is beyond amazing is truly a display of how soulful this piece is. Sting out of tune in certain passages, Ray Chen one of the most virtuoso violinists of our time making some mistakes, etc. It is almost poetical that this performance tributes so humanly the broken beauty the whole Arcane series conveys. I'm just thankful to be able to witness this kind of art!

Have you really never had a game soundtrack cause huge emotions in you before? Like yes this was excellent... but some of my fav games I can also listen to their soundtracks alone and get a similar response. Music is so powerful, good music in a game/tv/movie goes so far!
@lovethepandainyou2 жыл бұрын
@@robsonclark9678 I think you misunderstood what I meant. What I meant is that, in a game awards show, musical performances (or random celebrity guests for that matter) usually don't feel appropriate because the events are about the nominations and about dishing out the honors. In the past, I've seen many random celebrities or bands be invited to star in a game awards show, even if they themselves have nothing to do with the games. So as a gamer, I really couldnt care less they invite, say, Ariane Grande or Imagine Dragons to play one of their hits. I'm here for the games. If I wanted to hear their music, I'd go to their show.

I'm a violinist (not even anywhere close a smidge of Ray Chen here, obviously, but I've been lucky enough to perform with great orchestras) and I can tell you there's nothing more magical then that moment of silence before the applause. Clapping is expected, it's more of a custom than a real show of enthusiasm, but when the whole audience holds their breath like that you know you've really made something special

This one sounds better than the other video of this performance on KZbin. But some parts are still off. Sting is pretty much always spot on, including very recently, which leads me to think that there had to be some kind of technical difficulty with sound in this case. I am also guessing there wasn't much rehearsal time with everyone in the same room, either. Nevertheless, it was nice to see him, and Ray Chen and the rest, perform it live. Such a beautiful song.
