I've never torn my ACL, just partially torn my MCL. The pain was non-existent once I had three days of muscle relaxer and some naproxen. From what I understand, the pain with an ACL tear is similarly tolerable, and knee ligaments are more about the stability and ability (or inability) to do things like cut and juke anyway. That's why it's such a big deal for soccer, basketball, and football players, among others. I've broken two bones. Neither hurt particularly badly once they were set and the swelling went down. It's weird. I have to imagine Tiger was on some insanely strong pain meds due to how much twisting is involved with swinging a club. Plus, adrenaline is a hell of a drug. Just my 2¢ worth of input. At the very least, I think it's believable that he was working through a lot of pain. 🤷♂️

Yea like the guy above said he had stress fractures and a torn acl, he wasn’t supposed to play but did anyways, if you go watch sections of this and the previous 3 rounds there’s a bunch of times where he grimises and grabs his knee and limps off after shots,I think the reason he was able to celebrate like that without it hurting was all the adrenaline, plus all the pain killers he was taking

There needs to be statues of this man at every majors level golf course in the world. He has done more for the game of golf than any other person to ever play. He was a black kid playing a game that was predominantly dominated by white men. People didn’t want to like him, people didn’t want him to succeed. But gosh, he was so amazing people couldn’t help but like him, then root for him and then finally cheer for him above all other golfers. I am so thankful that I got to see this man BECOME A LEGEND.
